After a long journey to JENOVA Stratos Tower Peak, Rufus successfully fused Ultima and Omega which caused the birth of the most powerful beast yet: Perfect WEAPON. However, things had not turned out as Sephieroth thought they would; WEAPON only wanted to challenge her and Sephiroth rather than the team that was initially prepared for this battle. Seeing that there was no arguing with him, both her and Sephiroth accepted the challenge and prepared for a grueling battle.
Chapter 12: WEAPON's Madness
(this section will focus on Sephiroth as the speaker) Both me and Sephieroth stood before WEAPON as he roared aggressively at us. However, unlike before, i felt a burst of confidence and determination to do my best regardless of past errors. WEAPON quickly said "Show me JENOVA's power, you two. And dont chicken out!" That angered me immediately and i replied "Did you say chicken?" I slowly but bravely approached him, my expression fiery and angry. I stopped after several steps, getting into my fighting stance with my katana and said "Nobody calls 1st class SOLDIER of Mother chicken!" I didn't turn around, but sensed Little Sister lighting up behind me with joy. I didn't wait another second to attack the beast, quickly bolting my wing and engaging skirmish with WEAPON. I used my sword to fend him off, but it didn't take a lot of clashing with each other for me to see swords alone were useless on him. I deliberately let him hit my sword a bit harder than me on one clash, just enough to bring me back to the ground without getting hurt. I glanced up at him, my expression hard and strong. I saw him dealing with Little Sister on the other side, who had also tried her katana on the beast. I knew she wasn't doing anymore damage than i had; the monster's exterior was too strong for our swords to do any damage. I shouted to her "No, dont waste your strength! Swords dont hurt him!" Quickly reacting, she flew towards me after dodging an attack, landing beside me. She seemed to be gasping for breath and said "Its no use.... he's too tough! How are we supposed to bring this thing down?" I replied "We'll have to rely on our magic and JENOVA cells. Direct physical attacks wont even scratch this guy." Sephieroth quickly asked "What happens if that's not enough?" I paused then answered "We'll either black out or die. You know what happens if our JENOVA cells run out... but hopefully that won't happen." She quickly asked "Any ideas, Big Brother?" I stopped to think, then answered "I'll start up a powerful storm and see if that softens him up. I want you to target those tails on him and aim for those black lines on them. They could be weak points on him, but be wary: you might get caught up in them if youre spotted and that could be deadly in worst cases. I'll keep him distracted with lightning, but you'll have to act fast enough that we aren't detected too soon." Sister nodded, then flew towards WEAPON's tails as i used my powers to start a powerful lightning storm above the area. Thunder cracked loudly, followed by several strikes of lightning and heavy rainfall. Because we were so high up on the tower, the thunder felt almost deafening and the lightning just above us. WEAPON growled and said "Gah! I cant see anything!" I could tell the storm had reduced visibility for him and laughed. I aimed another lightning strike directly at him. He roared in pain as it struck him, and i noticed the large thorn on his back began to dim slightly. It was originally a bright and powerful golden glow, but now that shine seemed to weaken from him being injured. I saw Little Sister fly behind him carefully and strike the black lines on one of his tails with her katana, but even from here i knew WEAPON took no damage from it. Quickly recovering, WEAPON cackled mischievously and wrapped Sephieroth in one of his tails. I shouted "No!" and flew full speed to help her. I stopped above the thorn on WEAPON's back and struck it with my katana as hard as i could. WEAPON roared and winced in pain, immediately releasing Sephieroth from his grasp. I rushed to where my Sister fell, landing right in front of where she laid motionless. She didn't move; she was barely breathing. Struggling not to panic, i put down my katana and rested a hand on her chest to see if there was any heartbeat. My heart was racing so much i could barely think about anything but my precious Sister's life. She was still alive, but her pulse was so slow it seemed like she was barely alive. WEAPON was still trying to recover behind me, but i didn't care about him. I felt tears stream from my eyes as i rested a hand on her face and held her in my arms. I barely made out my own words "No.... what have i done..?" My sadness quickly becoming fury, i put her back down, picked my katana back up and flew directly towards WEAPON and yelled "What did you do to her?!!" WEAPON cackled and said "I drained her JENOVA cells! What else do you think my tendrils are for?" I knew he would say that. Maybe Sephieroth was unable to battle now, but i was still able to do something to avenge my legendary Sister. I shouted angrily at the beast "You fool! You just murdered the Family Hero! Whats wrong with you?!" WEAPON cackled again as though he didn't care or even think about what i just said. He said "So what are you going to do about it, wimpy winged angel? Just stay there and scold me?" I couldn't take it anymore. I was so enraged, i could no longer control my power or thoughts at this point. I felt my JENOVA cells begin to multiply in power within seconds. I felt my body begin to change shape shortly afterwards: my skin went from its normal white to a pitch black, my silver hair becoming a silky and shining white, and my eyes from green to a blood-deep red. The rest of me maintained its previous appearance. I gazed aggressively at WEAPON, who stared at me in sinister and curious awe. I let out a mild growl as i slowly opened my mouth. I also noticed i had vampire-like fangs as well. I sheathed my katana, then held my hands out and bolted long sharp claws. Remembering Mother and the others were still here, i heard Yazoo say in amazement "Wow... I never knew Big Brother had a Feral Form." Mother giggled and said "He sure does.... I never knew JENBU passed that on to him, though. Your Father was able to do that very same thing Sephiroth just did, but only on the brink of unimaginable anger and fury. No different than Sephiroth's reaction." Loz then said "Its like his purity is inside out now.... i wonder if this rivals your fusion with Little Sister." Rufus also added "Not just his body, but the shadows surrounding him too--you see that thick blanket of shadows enveloping his entire being?" I hissed in rage at WEAPON, shadowy venom landing on his arm. He cried in pain, and i noticed the venom disintegrated his metal skin. He glanced in rage at me, and we immediately continued our fight. However, this time i used my bolted claws to fend him off. They often got stuck in his metal body until he would pull himself free. I decided to take advantage of that and enveloped the entire peak in a shadowy forcefield, then stabbed his thorn with all of my claws and lifted him off the ground, spinning him quickly before throwing him at the dark barrier with incredible ease. He hit the wall hard, then dropped on the floor. After recovering, WEAPON seemed surprised but angry and said "Gah..! What are you?!" I replied "No, what are you, you monster!" We both charged towards each other one more time, and i got my katana at the last second, flying past his face and stabbing the golden thorn on his back. The gold light quickly darkened and WEAPON was now unconscious. Removing my katana, i used my JENOVA cells to make the Perfect Materia out of the defeated WEAPON. I had successfully caught Perfect WEAPON, a golden materia with black lines on it now in my hand. Remembering my fallen Sister, i rushed back to where she was and saw she was still unconscious. I bent down to her, my claws going back in and placed the materia that was the newly captured WEAPON in her still hand. I began to say "Sister, we got him.... we caught the WEAPON..." Suddenly, i felt my body begin to revert back to its original state and felt like i was being choked. I couldn't talk or breathe; when i was done changing shape, i suddenly collapsed and coughed up some blood. I was still awake, but i felt as though id been severely injured inside my body. I saw Yazoo run to help me, followed by Mother and everyone else. Mother picked me up and said "Dont worry, my son; you will both be fine." Then i blacked out.
