Hello everyone! I got Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer roughly two weeks ago and I wanted to do a review on what I think of it so far. Weather you're just reading this for fun or thinking of getting the game, I hope you enjoy.
First of all let me explain a few things to you.
Lots of people don't paticularly like the game. I read some reviews on the game and "Repedative" "Boring" "Could have more" and "You don't get a home" pops up quite a lot.
I agree, Nintendo could have put a lot more in the game to where you could design the full town and have your own house and maybe something to do in between your designing time. But overall I think its an entertaining game.
There are dozens of villagers which makes designing an endless posibility, especially when you can go back and redesign the house.
You can change clothes and your hair just like in New Leaf. But you can also change your skin, hair, and eye color in the beginning of the game. So you won't be needing to stress about how your villager looks and its much easier than waiting for hariet to open her salon. So now my villager has the same skin tone as me which i'm very happy about.
Since you are desining houses in this game, Nintendo found a much esier way to move furniture around. You can now drag the item from the bottom of your screen, I mean its so time consuming to push and pull furniture around in New Leaf. Another cool thing about Happy Home Designer is that you can now add items on the ceiling and they provide you with a variety of options. I also adore that the game gives you nearly every furniture series from New Leaf and more.
Which now brings up to the extra computer and phone located in the Happy Home office. With the new amiibo phone you can now use Amiibo cards in the game. Nintendo provides you with one free amiibo card if you physically purchase game. The sad thing is that if you have an old 3Ds like me then you have to sepratley buy a $20 Amibbo NFC card reader. But its okay the game provides plenty of fun designing content anyway.
With the new computer in the office, you can now upload your creations to the Happy Home Network. Its a place where you can visit and rate other players homes and they can rate yours too! I think its a great addition to the game.
The last thing I wanted to cover is main street buldings. You can now design a school, stores, restaurants and othe things. Awesome!
My personal opinion of this Happy Home Designer is that its super cute and fun! I'm sure after awhile the game might become a bit stale but otherwise I think its a great laid back game that you can play in the car or when you are chillin at home. I do wish you gain the ability to have your own home and a town and I also think you should have been able to name the town as well.
With all that said, I suggest Happy Home Designer if you like relaxed, slow paced games.
