This is very true, I was unable to think about what was so charming about the game during my first play through, it had the magical experience of the original Legend of Zelda had for many, the amazing world of A Link to the Past which was groundbreaking at the time, and it had the fun silliness that Minish Cap had.
I highly recommend A Link Between Worlds, it is definitely one of the top 5 Legend of Zelda games out there, maybe top 3 for some people.
