I’m Benjamin Franklin and I’m here to say,
That the corrupt british government is not okay.
Now if you don’t know who I am let me fill you in
With this enticing little tale I’m about to spin
I was raised in a house under the Franklin name,
And growing up with 19 others was sometimes lame,
But James, my brother, he was quite a mess.
I used to work with him on the printing press.
He used to beat me for publishing my own works,
So I left to go find where a real job lurks.
34 years since that and now look at me!
I’m a politician, writer, and part of history!
But back to the British, do you know what they tried?
They killed, swindled, cheated, and lied!
But when I as an American decided to fight
Was when the British tried to take our human rights!
Now we’re about to start an entire revolution
And we’ll beat Britian so hard they’ll be begging for a resolution!
We’ll unite the colonies under one name
And we’ll make a ton of documents to seal our fame.
The colonies will become United States
But for now we don’t know the colonies’ fate.
After all in life, there are only 2 certain things.
They’re death and taxes, though that truth stings.
Now I must take my leave to go get involved
In this approaching war, where we won’t lose resolve!
