The World”, the online MMORPG that everyone has been excited for. Social media post talking about the game every few hours and game reviewers posting videos on viewtube talking about how amazing the game is. “The World” is one of the first games to ever use virtual reality in a way that you can control your character with your own brain signals. Today, June 3, 2034, is the release day of “The World”.
Broadcasts all across the nation showed lines of people waiting outside of stores to purchase the game and also people who were lucky enough to get a copy of the game without waiting in line for too long. I was one of those lucky few, as I walked out of the store I saw the huge lines and those who have already purchased it walking away triumphantly. I got into my car turned on the ignition and drove home...damn so many people are excited for this game, I can’t wait to play it once I get home.
There were traffic jams due to the amount of people trying to park and get into the lines. Luckily I didn’t live too far away from the store so it only took a few extra minutes. I got home slung off my backpack and it hit the floor against the wall near the door. I went into the kitchen and grabbed a jar of peanut butter, some bread and some jelly. I live alone so I take care of myself. I tried to spread the peanut butter on the bread without ripping the bread but sure enough the bread ripped the second I tried. “Damn it, everytime man”, I hear my phone ringing. I go over to the counter and pick up my phone, it’s my old friend Paul. I pick up,
ME: “Hey man, you get the game yet”
Paul: “Yeah man, these lines are huge how did you even get it so fast?”
Me: “I waited since the day before so I was able to get a good spot in the line”
Paul:”Damn, you want to get on right now?”
Me:” Wait for Zach to get it then we can all get on”
Paul:”ALright man see you then”
*call ends*
I sit on my couch and watch some anime, I recently got started on Soul Eater so I was watching that when I got a call from my friend Zach,
Zach:”Dude, I got it!”
Me:”Good stuff, I’ll call Paul and let him know that we’re getting on”
Zach:”Alright man see you on the other side”
*call ends*
And this is where our story begins
I'll be continuing this sometime soon, I'm writing this on a separate google doc as well so I don't forget where I left off for the next chapter
