I've told some people about this game already and well they were pleasantly surprised!
So what is 0 AD? It's a game that has been developing for many years (since 2001.) The idea of it was a game made primarily for a pitch idea to give to Microsoft for a new type of Age of Empires. However MS didn't accept it as they were already making a new IP at the time called Age of Mythology. Than decided to create a open source free game for all called 0 AD. Which it has been in active development since 2001 to today. Longest developed game in history. It plays really well, however it is still in Alpha because the team is VERY small but extremely passionate for the game.
The game feels and plays like Age of Empires if you like that sort of Genre of PC games. Sounds is really good, the art, animations, and everything that goes with it is purely amazing. not bad for a game that has been in active development for 17 years.
If you want to try the game yourself, than go for it, its actually pretty stable for what it is. Just search 0 AD into google and should be the first result.
