Support Needed 3ds R button not working

ok. so my 3ds R button is not working i think it is because of mario and luigi dream team and acnl. because i used it in there a lot. but now it does not work at all so i need some help. i tried blowing in it http://www.nintendolife.com/forums/3ds/will_nintendo_fix_the_l_and_r_buttons?start=20
but i am not sure if i shoud try this

shoud i just go to nintendo of america and ask them to fix it? or what? btw i am going to nintnod of america in the summer

You might as well. I experienced a similar issue with my GBA's L and R buttons to the extent that nowadays they only *sometimes* will work perfectly fine. At this point, Nintendo of America support is the way to go (but if the 3DS is out of warranty, there may be a slight cost associated with it)

alright, then yeah it may have a slight fee to fix it. With that said though, the R button not working shouldn't be a huge problem for some games like Pokemon.

On my Nintendo DS Lite, my L button stopped working. On my Nintendo DSi, both my L and R buttons do not work. One of the triggers have been ripped off.

Both of the triggers on my Nintendo 3DS work perfectly, but I am still afraid that they might break some day. I don't know why Nintendo makes the triggers so cheap. I wish they lasted longer. Luckily, I play my 3DS less than I played my other systems. I guess it gets weaker with time.

Your best bet would be to visit your nearest Nintendo help center (or whatever they call it) and ask them to fix it. I'm pretty sure they'll do it for free because it's such a minor thing. Don't perform any technical kung-fu on the poor device if you don't know anything, you may do more damage than any good. Let the experts do their work.
