Yes, you heard it right. All members of Club Nintendo (not only platinum this time, all!) will receive a "special version" of Flipnote Studio 3D Download Code in February. NEXT MONTH! Flippp to the nottee! See this for proof:

All Coins will be deleted when Club Nintendo accounts are closed on July 1, 2015. As a result, to give our members the best opportunity to use their Coins, we will add dozens of downloadable games and a limited quantity of exclusive reward items to the rewards catalog in February. In addition, as a small token of appreciation for your loyalty, all Club Nintendo members will receive a free download code for Flipnote Studio 3D in February 2015. It also says that each member of a Family CN account will receive a code. So make a lot of family members in your profile to sell those codes!

I will receive it, so I should be happy, but it's weird of them to make it exclusive to CN members when all 3DS owners have had to wait four years for it. I guess they want to make sure that people feel Club Nintendo was worth something before it shut down.

Wasn't flipnote studio supposed to be a free app like years ago? I find it funny how they are just now giving it out, though I guess I'm not complaining

It is awesome that it is coming out but no internet!!! we waited over 3 years for this and it wont have internet that is crazy. also hopefully Europe will get internet so at least some people will have it ( if eu gets the game at all)

I've never actually tried a Flipnote app before (if it has actually had previous versions on older DS'), so it would be good to see what the big deal is. xD

Flipnote let's you make animations and share them world wide and people will comment on it. You can also RP by drawing, or make comics on it. You don't have to register anyone, as long as they flipnote and access to the site/app from their DS then they can see it.

I'm a member of Club Nintendo, and I've been hopelessly anticipating the release of Flipnote Studios 3D for a long while now. Though I'm happy I'll receive it, I don't see why there should be a price tag on it for those who aren't members of Club Nintendo (as such was not required to download the game on the DSi).

I really hope it'll be released in Europe, too -- it wouldn't be right to make something exclusive to only members from certain regions. For an international company, it shouldn't matter where you are in the world -- if you've used the service just as others from differed areas did, why shouldn't you be entitled to the same benefits?

If they're trying to reward us for using their service, why not give us an advantage on Club Nintendo's successor? As a platinum member, I wouldn't be too thrilled to start over again, and I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.

I'm glad Nintendo's showing some loyalty to their consumers... I just hope that all Club Nintendo members will be compensated somehow -- whether through Flipnote or by other means.

You're about it being international, it's only fair. I know the feeling of anticipating a certain item only to find out on its release day it's only for a certain region, ugh MMD models always do that. But I think Nintendo will do right by it's members.
