Did you know the 3DS can't handle GBA games?

At least according to this curious article ...

The fact of the matter is that the Nintendo 3DS, at least for now, can’t properly play the Virtual Console renditions of Game Boy Advance games to an acceptable standard, and here’s why: -

That second CPU was a 32-bit ARM7, literally the same chip that was in the original Game Boy Advance [...]
This is the reason the 3DS Home menu can’t be reached during the Game Boy Advance Ambassador games, nor the other system functions like the Friends List, Miiverse or Internet Browser.

They could make it run on the 2D CPU. Another idea I have (don't know it it's possible though), would be to make the background tasks (Friend List, Miiverse, etc.) run on the 3D CPU.
And Save States... Honestly, it's here, but, for me, it's cheat ! Can't you save the game properly, like the way you used to play them on a GBA/SP/Micro ?

The Game Boy Advance games offered as part of the Ambassador program on the 3DS aren’t this they’re litterally just ROMs running on a simulated Game Boy Advance on 3DS hardware.

Simulating ? I don't think so... It's still emulation, but the way they ported it is just high-level* compared to the regular NES/GBC/GG VC games, who runs at a low-level*

*To People who don't know what I'm talking about, Low-Level programs are programs that the system understands easier than High-Level ones, therefore, it's faster.

GBA Emulations WITH SaveStates, and Home Menu IS possible on the 3DS (Some hackers were able to do it!)
BUT! Either Nintendo's investing on the VC to make the WiiU sales better (in that case, it's the 3DS VC lineup that suffers from not many games), or Nintendo doesn't want to exploit the CPU of their console (again ?), like they did by the past.*

--> Look at the PSP, for instace. It's a Single-Core, 333MHz Processor, with 32MB of RAM, but it's able to emulate the PS1, the SNES, the GBA, and even the N64!
In Nintendo's case (3DS), we have a Dual-Core 268MHz Processor, as well as 128MB of RAM, but, what can we run?
Only the Game Gear, the GameBoy (Color), the NES.

Nintendo should really make better use of what their consoles are made of. Like what they did when they made The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the GameCube. In THAT case, we had a game really exploiting the GC hardware !
PS: I'm not angry, or anything. I'm just making an observation.
