I'm still using my $5 HDMI cable which I got from the Dollar Store a few years ago, and the cable still seem to work at displaying video, and transferring sound to the speakers on my TV.
A cheap HDMI to DVI cable which I got from Amazon is still working great after many years at displaying video from my computer to my older DVI LCD Monitor.
But, I'm not sure if the cables would last as long and run as good as more expensive cables from brands like Monster.
