Is the Circle Pad Pro worth it?

"The Circle Pad Pro features a second slider pad and three shoulder buttons, used to give the 3DS a more controller-like grip, and to make games such as RPGs or third person shooters more similar to those on consoles control-wise. The accessory requires one AAA battery to run, though one is only included with the original sized Circle Pad Pro. Its battery life lasts for 480 hours (20 days). [9] It is also region free, which means one can use a Circle Pad Pro from another region of the world and it will still work on their 3DS, regardless of region of the system they are using."

I'm just curious if this accessory is actually worth the $19.99, these are some of the games this accessory is compatible to:
  • Monster Hunter 3 G [11]
  • Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy (Japanese version only)
  • Resident Evil: Revelations
  • Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
  • Dynasty Warriors VS
  • Nano Assault EX
  • Samurai Warriors Chronicles 2nd
  • Steel Diver: Sub Wars
I'm guessing Monster Hunter 4, that is coming in early 2015 would be compatible also (hopefully), so for those who have/planning to get it, do you think it is worth it?

If you have the money laying around, yeah. But if you're the kind of person that can only afford a few games a year, no. I had one for my original 3DS and I liked it but I haven't ordered one for my XL yet.

I got it only because I own several games that support it :
  • Resident Evil: Revelations
  • Kid Icarus: Uprising
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
  • Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Steel Diver: Sub Wars is free-to-play but I haven't downloaded it yet. I wouldn't recommend buying it if you have less than 2 games that support it when you're not even planning to buy any of the other supported games.

I'm thinking of getting it, if Steel Diver: Sub Wars is compatible with it, that means that Nintendo are updating the gaming compatibility right? The're just being picky with some of the games that are being supported. I hope that Monster Hunter 4 will be supported. I'm planning on getting Kid Icarus: Uprising, and I'm addicted to Steel Diver: Sub Wars so far, I think more games will be supported in the future though.

It mostly only matters what your use to like xbox or ps3 if you play that then your probably use to 2 analog sticks

I'm using a comfort grip for my 3DS XL so I'm not interested on the Circle Pad Pro, but unless you love to play too much games like Resident Evil or Monster Hunter, don't buy it.

I personally wouldn't buy it myself. It's just a way to get more money out of us. xD

I can do fine without it.

I know, but I'd really like to fully enjoy a game like Monster Hunter 4 with the Circle Pad Pro, also I enjoy SteelDiver: Sub Wars, so I don't think I'd lose out on much if I buy it, and I'm sure Nintendo would release more games compatible with it.

I'd recommend it. You never know. The next Smash Bros. might use it as a C-stick for the 3DS.

Oh wow, well that sounds awesome (I doubt it will) but I like how Nintendo/Gaming Devs is still making games that can support the hardware, for some reason, I think Sonic Boom will support the feature (just a guess).

i do not use circle pad. Neither onboard one nor the one i bought. I think it has difficult operation and the finger hurts if you use it alot of time
