Yep! King Dedede has been confirmed as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U. See some screenshots of him in action at the official website - http://www.smashbros.com/us/characters/dedede.html

The more the merrier. It reminds me that I'm looking forward to Kirby's new 3DS game too.
 
i think its ok i dont realy get what kirbys is all about but yes the more the better
 
Good to see that a character has recently been announced for SSB4 and is NOT from Mario. With that said though, I'm a bit concerned that Meta Knight won't be returning and we'll be stuck with just Kirby and Dedede (he was awesome!)

Good for Dedede to be back...I liked him enough in Brawl and I think I'll like him in this game most likely. But the thing that's actually good about him here, is the expressions...the expressions are so good, its almost liked they could've remade them exactly from the Anime. I really like it.
 
eh, it's a better choice than putting in wii fit trainer.

What's wrong with Wii Fit Trainer? She's a hilarious and awesome addition to the game.

Nothing really wrong, but I do think her addition, along with the Animal Crossing Villager(s) shows that Nintendo has had a drop in original IP's over the years. With so many Mario titles and such they've had to add nameless characters to the roster.

I really don't think so. If they wanted to, they wouldn't have had to include those characters, but they've risen in importance lately. I think all it means is that they want a bit more variety in the game. Heck, variety has been a thing lately with a bunch of returning characters gaining different moves. I kinda wonder if Dedede has a different moveset this time

I don't mind her don't get me wrong. But I do look forward to some genuinely new IP's from Nintendo. Mega Man has me more excited among the Smash Bros. newbies be honest.

That's seriously the most obvious reaction/opinion to expect out of people from the 3 New Comers, that's how almost everyone feels about it, even myself included.

Lol I have not seen King Dedede in a long time and he looks so funny! I think he will make a good addition to the game, I will probably play as him

Yes! I hope the Kirby game comes real soon because I am getting a bit impatient, also i hate it when Nintendo makes a release date real wide open like: Coming Soon: 2014, or Coming Soon: Spring 2014.
