"Medabots 8" Announced for Nintendo 3DS in Japan

There's a new Medabots (AKA Medarot) game in the works for Nintendo 3DS in Japan, and it's coming in two forms. Medabots 8 is set for an August 28 release, with both Kabuto and Kuwagata versions available for ¥5,800 ($57) each.



According to this week's issue of Famitsu magazine, the story will be detective-themed, and players will be able to battle and trade parts via both local and online multiplayer. The game system has been updated to help ease in new players, and complete overhauls have been given to the protagonist, world view, and Medabot 3D models.

Those who pick up first-print copies will get a bonus original soundtrack.

Mhmm. The price is quite high, for a 3DS game. But then again, there might be some more exclusives as they are also getting a bonus for the first few people to pick it up.

Never heard about the first Medabots and already eight there. For now most of exclusives remains JAP only and low chance that we'll see them if region locks won't be removed.

I never heard of it. Sounds expensive, though prices may be normal in other regions if it ever gets localized.

It's based on an anime of the same name, I think. Guess it won't be released in Europe though. Oh well. xD

it would still be really expensive it if did. I wouldn't buy it for so much.
