When i first ever even heard of the 3ds i just thought that it took regular ds games and made them 3d.... boy was i wrong. A friend of mine from like 10 years ago had the very first ds and i thought it was a nifty little system. i thought the touch pad was awesome.. now fast forward almost ten years and i finally got myself one of my own, but mine has a 3 in front of the ds...lol...
Well i have the xl and i think the 3d effects are amazing!! I have LBW and RE revelations, and they both look crazy good in 3d.. but i have also played some demo's and most seem to use the 3d effect very well... but i think the 3d is RE is incredible(what do you guys think).. i have had my system now for almost 2 months and i am greatly enjoying it. I sometimes cannot play all the time, but i do what i can!! I have beaten LBW, but recently started playing RE, so my experience is kinda limited in how many games that i have played. can anybody recommend a few games that they enjoyed? Well im off to watch Blacklist with my girlfriend, you all have a great night and i will be on later..

Yep, the 3D on the 3DS and XL is amazing! The early games for the 3DS (Like Super Street Fighter IV and Ocarina of Time 3D) had the best 3D, but 3D isn't as good in newer games, but I'm pretty sure I know why. Other than that, some games i'd recommend are Mario Kart 7 if you're into racing and Animal Crossing: New Leaf if your into communicating with animals who stand on two legs and live in houses lol. (It's much more than just that by the way)

i dont know if i would like animal crossing very much.. my girlfriend plays farmville on facebook, but i dont like that game.. one farming game that i heard about was rune factory series..how is that? the one game that i wish i could get is one of the SMT games...i like rpg's that takes awhile to beat, and has some meat to it, if you know what i mean..

Which Rune Factory? I'm guessing RF4? If so, I heard that this was one of the best JRPG's on the 3DS. I'm more of an Etrian Odyssey type person but if you have higher preference for Rune Factory, then you should get it!

a friend of mine let me borrow his copy of Etrian Odyssey Untold.. im really liking it, but im afraid to get too far into it(he wants it back soon) plus i dont want to get to far into it, and then later on down the road get the game and have to start all over from the very beginning

also, im kinda getting my butt handed to me in EO. im not used to these kinds of games, but i know that if i keep playing it, then i will figure out what im doing wrong.

Yeah, the 3DS really is magnificent and is a significant upgrade over the original DS. There are so many great games in its library, you'll always have a couple choices to choose from. I'd recommend Kid Icarus: Uprising since that game really makes a good use of 3D. It also has probably the best multiplayer of any 3DS game and is made by the man who is behind Smash Bros. (you'll be able to tell just by looking at the game's menu screen).

i heard that kid icarus has very difficult controls. and i dont have the extra joystick thing... also to tell the truth i have never played a smash bros game( well now that i think about it, back in the day i might have played for 5 mins). i see people talking about smash and pokemon, but i have never played either.. what is it that people are really into both games?

Kid Icarus does have an unusual control scheme, but once you get the hang of it it's not bad. The gripe most people have is that you have to use the touchscreen to aim fire, which sort of gets uncomfortable when you using your other hand to move the circle pad. By the way, the 2nd circle pad cannot be used for aiming, just moving. It's intended as an option for left handed players who want to move with the right hand and aim with the left. Pokemon and Smash are two of the most iconic series of Nintendo (the other 2 being Mario and Zelda). I can't give you some bread and butter reason for why they're so popular other than the fact that people just enjoy playing them a lot. I feel that they represent the essence of all video games as a whole- it's all just for fun. Give them a try and you might just see why they're so popular.
