N64 in virtual console

so this is something that really bothers me from nintendo, there are no N64 games for the 3ds
and we know i has the capabilities to run on it, since the ds we can play N64 games proof of
that is mario 64 ds which had even better graphics than the one in th 64, you can even play
ps1 games on the psvita, so I really don´t know what is happening with nintendo not selling
N64 games,give your opinion below,thanks.
 
Probably because its not "old school" enough. It came out in June of 96, while its 18 years old, I guess they consider nes and snes games to be more retro.
 
A lot of people would buy those games including me,wont you like to have donkeykong 64 on the 3ds?
 
Yes. However, I still own my N64 so I would rather play it on there. I think games like Perfect Dark, or 007, could have a fun online multiplayer component.
 
Technically, I doubt the N64 games can be ported on the 3DS Virtual Console.
Why ? The N64's hardware, though she almost totally lacks RAM, still have more VRAM than the 3DS.
And if you try to tell me "Then what about Zelda OoT3D?", I can answer you: Nintendo optimized it for the 3DS.
Where other N64 games aren't necessarily optimized.

But of course I'd like to have a N64 VC.
 
Conker Bad Fur Day, I would love it! But I don't think Nintendo would want this game back on Nintendo consoles, or they would censor it like Microsoft did.
 
They do have N64 VC for the Wii but like D4rkDragon said for the 3DS it would be highly unlikely. Each system is different, hence the reason each Smash Bros. has some minor differences in feel and response in controls. And besides only a select few games on the N64 were even very good (graphics wise) so if they are on 3DS they would have to be really good games and they would be redone (like OoT and Star Fox). DKC Returns was a port from the Wii so... I guess it could be done if you knew about the hardware and what would get it to work. Definitely the sound can be converted to the 3DS but maybe not the graphics or the size or something like that. It would be a port and it just wouldn't be the same but very similar.
 
They can't simply "transfer" them over to VC, they need to "remake" them.
