I'm trying to decide which game I should get next for my 3DS. I have considered Donkey Kong Returns 3D and Paper Mario Sticker Star. But I'm not sure if they will be enjoyable enough to keep my interest. Does anyone have any suggestions on what games I should get for the 3DS?

I currently have:
  • New Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Mario Kart 7
  • Luigi's Mansion : Dark Moon
  • Super Mario 3D Land
 
While I like it, the latter is commonly despised by players because it's a pretty flawed game. For me, DKCR3D is one of those games I can't play for long because the levels have me die a fair bit or something, but overall for a platformer it's somewhat beefy.

I'd recommend Fire Emblem: Awakening or Mario Golf: World Tour instead, though. They're both pretty excellent games and I've been coming back to them quite a bit and have over 700+ hours on them combined.
 
Tomodachi Life is BY FAR my favorite 3DS game out there! Amazing game that everyone should get. :)

If you reached Platinum status on Club Nintendo you can get Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D from it, and it's by far the best reward this year on Club Nintendo.

Other than that I'd recommend Pokemon X/Y (or Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, but they aren't out for a few more months), The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and Fire Emblem Awakening.

In terms of content, the weakest out of those three is A Link Between Worlds but it more than makes up for it in every other aspect, it's my favorite 3DS game.

Or if you're looking for something a bit more dark with a LOT of content, Shin Megami Tensei IV is a fantastic JRPG that you can get for pretty cheap now.

Out of interest, what's your preferred genre? That'd make it easier for people who are suggesting things.

I would suggest Fire Emblem Awakening or Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. They both have a lot of content so you won't have to worry about finishing them too soon. I'm not sure if you have AC:NL since you haven't listed it (but is mentioned in you sig) but that is another quality title. Other than that, I would suggest waiting for Pokemon OR/AS or Super Smash Bros. Try poking around the web for some more lesser- known titles. You might just fall in love with them.
