anyone here use the 3DS's Streetpass function? If so what kind of people's messages and Miis have you gotten? Or are you like me who doesn't live in a streetpass lively area?

I don't try to get StreetPasses anymore, but when I did try, I got about two a day. I guess it depends on the area you live in to be honest.

For this to work you need to be someplace crowded like NYC or vegas. I know this works well in Japan but it's not something that works here in the states.

If you to malls of downtown areas chances are you will get some streetpasses. Or well, perhaps I am lucky around the zone where I live because if i go to EB games or the city I get some hits.

I usually get simple greetings or website/twitter/FB advertisements.
One Mii I received was a guy with a bride veil saying with a surprised expression: "OMG! Marry me!".
It made me chuckle.

I have never got anyone via Streetpass but I haven't had my 3DS for long so time will tell.

I don't really know about it, because I haven't actually used the feature on my 3DS.

Basically you can leave your 3DS on in sleep mode and go about your business, for example, go shopping in your local town. If you walk by someone with a 3DS in the same state (It's quite a long range) then your data gets transferred to their 3DS and visa versa. This way, you exchange puzzles and these people now become a part of your team in all the streetpass games!

I tried to use it once but it didn't work out, I think this is more a japan or big city only feature.
