The first Final Fantasy game that I've actually played is a spin-off in the DS. I've only watched my siblings play the main series/numbered title ones when we were young because I was a little intimidated with all the words and gameplay and I thought those were difficult games! Now that I'm older, I decided to try one and I fell so hard in the fandom hole that it came to be my favorite RPG series of all. I loved the art, music and story so much it makes me cry. 
The main series Final Fantasy games I've played are:
IV - Generic RPG story, but I did like the character development of the protagonist
VI - By far my favorite of the bunch gameplay-wise
VII - Cloud is cool. VII Remake hype!!!
VIII - Wasn't quite fond of the gameplay of this one, as well as the main character (sorry Squall!)
IX - The first main series FF I've played. Cute and charming!
X - I messed up with the skill system so I struggled during the end-game dungeons...
XIII - Hallways are cool.
XIII-2 - Still linear but at least gameplay was improved a little
As for the poll... Nope, I have not played Final Fantasy XV yet because I don't have a PS4...
I did spoil myself with the story (yes I watched the ending) because I've been following the game for 3 years and I loved the characters since then!
