So, I just got the Swift Sail after 2 attempts at the auctions, and I was going to get the ability to ride tornados to any island. Well, apparently, if you manage to miss the melody first time, pressing B lets you see it again. Well, just don't - it'll make Link jump out the boat (for some reason) and you're locked in the sequence. You can't play the melody, you can't back out, you can't even use anything on the Gamepad. I found this frustrating, because now I'll have to replay a portion of the game again.
Edit: Ok, so I caught back up with what was lost before and it turns out that it was a rare instance - pressing buttons while trying to learn the Ballad of Winds(?) doesn't actually do anything, but after a certain amount of time the melody will be repeated. Turns out I pressed B at the same time it was switching over, so my only assumption is that there is a split-second gap between both scenes that allows control of Link.
