Edward Stone is a Ra Yellow student at Duel Academy (at a time between original and GX), and currently he is in a school-wide tournament for the first pack of the newest Booster series, Archaic Evolution. The set has valuable support cards for his strongest deck, Blitz Phoenix. Our story begins with Ed winning against a Slifer Red by direct attack from his Blitz Phoenix Noble Archer.

The Slifer Red fell on his back as his opponent's monster slammed into his LP. The monster disappeared and a Ra Yellow student came up to his defeated colleague.
"You slackers disgust me." he said and walked off to his dorm.

"One more, you'll probably be even better than that kid Sharp in the Blue Dorm," Darin said.
Ace Sharp was considered the best duelist in the school, the young prodigy everyone knew would soon become a prized professional duelist. It was almost impossible to stop his Cyber Knight deck.

The two seniors turned to face a freshman wearing a blue dorm jacket.

"And you are?" Darin said threateningly.

"Atticus Rhodes" the boy responded simply.
