Nintendo released a new update for the Nintendo 3DS and the New Nintendo 3DS families, raising the number to 9.3.0-21. Including the pretty popular “system stability”, this new update brings:
- Shuffle Favorites Feature: it allows the user to choose multiple themes making the console to change the theme every time the console is turned off or left in Sleep Mode.
- Software updates can be downloaded from the HOME Menu, without needing to visit the Nintendo eShop.
- Users can take a capture screenshot of both screens on the HOME Menu.
It also patched the exploit allowing homebrew through Ninjhack, as announced by the hacker who released it:
according to @qlutoo one of the later stage exploits we use has been patched. so, again, DO NOT UPDATE TO 9.3 FOR NINJHAX.

still DO NOT UPDATE to 9.3. good news is at least 2 of the exploits used in ninjhax are still working so yay for that.
