According to Media Create, the Japanese people went crazy for Nintendo between April 29 and May 5. Indeed, among the 10 best-selling games in Japan during this period, six of them were released on the 3DS or the Wii. Tomodachi Collection: New Life and Luigi’s Mansion 2 were especially appealing to the Japanese gamers, gathering 208,814 and 64,420 sales respectively. Unsurprisingly, the 3DS was also at the top of consoles sales with 76,463 units sold during the same period, followed by far by the PS Vita with 22,051 units sold.
