Still struggling to pay off that home loan or get that new, shiny bridge? This guide will help you make Bells fast, although it will be targetted more towards late-game players. It lists some of the best ways to make Bells fast in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Selling Fossils

After donating a lot of fossils to the Museum, collecting duplicate fossils will become more and more common. If you do not have a specific purpose for the additional fossils, you can always sell them at the Nook’s Cranny for some extra Bells. They sell for nice prices.

Crafting Hot Items and Selling

Go to the Nook Cranny each day and find out what the hot item is. If it’s an easily craftable item and you have a lot of its resources, craft one of the item and sell it to Timmy and Tommy. Depending on how much you get, continue to craft more and sell.

The hot item of the day sells for double its original value. This is a great method to get a lot of Bells if it’s an easily craftable item that isn’t too heavy on the resources you have.

Buying and Selling Turnips

Purchasing turnips from Daisy Mae every Sunday for cheap and selling them to Timmy and Tommy is one of the fastest ways to become a millionaire in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It’s recommended to purchase as many turnips as possible and wait until you find a store with a high buying price.

You can read more about this in the turnip buying and selling guide.

Catching Valuable Bugs and Selling to Flick

The Nook Cranny’s shipping box can easily be used to determine the value of bugs you catch in the game. Use this to figure out what bugs fetch high prices and collect as many as you can. Store them somewhere you can easily pick them back up and wait for Flick to visit your island.

Flick purchases bugs for 1.5x their value, therefore you’re going to make a larger profit than selling them to Timmy and Tommy. The waiting period to make the sale is the only inconvenience, but good things come when you wait for them.

Tip: Plant lots of flowers on your island to help increase the rate of bugs.

Catch Fish and Sell To CJ

Similar to Flick, CJ makes random visits to your island with the intention of purchasing the fish you catch and he buys them at a x1.5 value. You can store as many as the expensive fish as you can catch and wait for CJ to pay a visit to your island so that you can sell them to him.

Fish bait can be crafted to catch more fish. Additionally, fish spawn faster on rainy days.

Selling Fruit

Selling fruit opens up the possibility of another source of revenue. With the right amount of trees and patience, you’re capable of making 100,000-500,000 Bells more Bells which each selling trip.

Collect fruit from other islands and plant as many of them on your island as you can or okay with. Wait for the fruit trees to mature and harvest the fruit when they bear. Put them in your storage until you’re satisfied with the amount you’ve hoarded. Go to your island’s Nook Cranny and sell them in bulk. This should provide you with an extra 500,000+ Bells depending on how many you collected.

Alternatively, you can do this with your island’s native fruit, however, to make a decent profit, you must sell at another island with a Native fruit that is different to yours.

Money Mystery Island

You can get lucky running into the Money Mystery Island if you’re using lots of Nook Mile Tickets with the intention of finding specific villagers you want on your island. This method isn’t recommended because there’s no guarantee you’ll find the Money Mystery Island, but it’s good to know that it exists at least.
