Nintendo offered a new way to get eShop cards in UK and Germany, offering the first option £15, £25, and £50 cards and the second one €15, €25 and €50 cards (that can be used in any European consoles with the Euro currency).
This new method is using the Paypal service “PayPal Digital Gifts”, and you can read more about this service here (UK – £) and here (German – €).
