Survival of the fittest may not fit for dungeon crawling unless there is archery, and that is why you should welcome Flavio in Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold‘s Story Mode! Flavio (and Survivalist you may pick in Classic Mode) is a deadly archer that can imbue status debuffs to monsters in the Labyrinth. His early-accessed “Flank Shot” is worth mentioning to do damage to multiple enemies.
As Survivalists, you may take benefit of their dodge-tanking skills such as “Trick Step” and “Chain Dance”. The former skill should help your party by lowering an enemy’s hit rate, while the latter raises Survivalist’s target and evade rate. The tricky “Scapegoat” skill lowers incoming damage to an ally in your party, in a price for placing them as a shield to the whole party.
Survivalists also may use their field skills under “Risk Perception” umbrella, that help Flavio reveal treasure chest and F.O.E easier, raise the party’s sneak-attack rate, and even lower encounter rate while exploring the Labyrinth.
