Animal Crossing Wild World Journal

Name- Villager
Town- Wild World

1st March, Monday

Today is when I left my hometown and went to this faraway town known as Wild World. It was raining cats and dogs. Kapp’n (my driver) kept asking me why such a small child like me was going to a faraway town in such a bad weather. I had no answer to that. Later, when we had almost reached our destination, Kapp’n asked me my name and where I was going. I told him that my name is Villager and I was going to Wild World. Then he asked me if I had enough money. I kept wondering why he was asking me such questions that had no meaning to him. I told him that I had enough money to be settled, just to end the conversation. The truth was, I had no money with me. Finally we reached Wild World. Kapp’n stopped near the Town hall.

I entered the town hall. Pelly, the pelican who works at the town hall, greeted me and then gave me the map of Wild World. She showed me my house. It was not very far away. After she had explained about the map, I went out and got inside my house.

It was a very small house with nothing except for a candle on a cardboard box and a Tape deck. I went outside. I found someone named Tom Nook. He asked me about my house. I seriously didn’t know what to say, so I said that its OK. Then he said something that gave me a shock. He said that in total I have to pay 19800 bells for my house. I couldn’t believe it. I had no money and he was asking me for such a high amount! He laughed and said that I did not have to pay it off all at once. I had to go to the town hall and pay little by little everyday. That gave me some relief. Then Tom Nook told me to work part time in his shop. In that way, I could earn some bells and learn about Living in Wild World.

I did not know why Tom Nook was asking me to work even though I had just arrived in Wild World. But he also said that I could make some bells and learn about living in town. So, I went straight to his shop known as Nook’s cranny.

First of all, Nook told me to change into his work clothes. It suited me quite well. After that, he gave me some saplings and flowers to plant around his shop. I did exactly what he told me to do. I do not have a very well taste of gardening but I ended up doing a good job. Next he asked me to introduce myself to all the residents of Wild World. This was a difficult task, mainly because I did not know who all lived in the town. The map helped me quite a lot but still, finding them was difficult.

I finally found and introduced myself to everyone in town. They were Bill, limberg and Rosie. In the end, I met the mayor, Tortimer, who was taking a walk outside the town hall. He asked me who I respect the most. This was a tricky question. I said I respected the mayor most, just to make Tortimer happy.

I returned to Nook’s Cranny. He gave me stuff to deliver to others, which was quite tiring. He also told me to write a letter to Bill, as folks in Wild World loved getting Mail. I just wrote a few words of friendship, and gave it in the Town Hall to deliver to Bill. In the end, when I returned to Nook’s cranny, Nook told me to advertise his shop on the Bulletin Board. This wasn’t too difficult and I was able to write it easily.

After that, finally my work was over. Nook deducted 1400 bells out of my montage, so I had to pay 18400 bells more. I was very tired and it was getting dark. So, i went straight to bed, looking forward to a good day next morning.
