DLC has been a rather controversal topic in the gaming world recently. For those of you who don't know, DLC meaning DownLoadable Content, and it's created quite a stir in the gaming world. Now, there are 2 types of DLC, but first I will get into the actual downloaded DLC. Now, DLC is a good thing... if used by the right people. It's like sushi, you can't get from just anyone, but certain people who know how to make and sell it. A good example of DLC is Super Smash Bros 4, where a game that is jam packed with content wants to give you even more for reletivly good prices. Good. Look at Fire Emblem Awakening. A game ALSO jam packed, but they sell it for way too much. Ok... i guess? Now, look at Call of Duty. Latest games have little content and tons of DLC. This is not okay. If you buy a game, you should get what you paid for. DLC is not the actual game, you cannot hold back content with pay walls, DLC is meant to be optional, completly unnessasary extras that are not mandatory in any way but are simply there for extra fun. Part 2 will discuss "Physical DLC". If you liked, be sure to leave 5 stars and maybe even a smiley face.
