Sephieroth and her gang arrived at JENOVA Foundation at Sephiroth's request. After a long and thorough discussion, they all agreed to tackle the fight together with JENOVA and Sephiroth's aid. Rufus focused on heading towards the JENOVA Stratos Tower Peak to wait for JENOVA's team to show and fight their greatest fight yet: Perfect WEAPON. Given Rufus's extensive research and data that predicted how dangerous the new monster would be, they all agreed that this was not a battle to take lightly. Despite the obvious danger lying ahead, Sephieroth and everyone else forced their fears aside and pushed forward with everything they had.
Chapter 11: Divine Roots& the Summoning
(This section will focus on Sephieroth as the speaker) After getting enough rest and organizing preparations for the big battle ahead, Mother lead us to JENOVA Stratos Tower to meet up with Rufus and begin fighting Perfect WEAPON. After what felt like hours of climbing and exploring the place, we took a stop in front of what looked like ancient drawings with alien inscriptions on a wall. Mother appeared to glance at the inscriptions in deep thought but didn't speak. Yazoo started by saying "Mother... what are these writings?" Mother closed her eye briefly, and replied "The pictures and writings on these walls.... are symbolic of the hero Sephiroth was during the SOLDIER incident and Shinra crisis. You all know about his past, I presume." We all nodded in response but kept silent. Sephiroth seemed to glance at the writings in a mysterious way, studying them very closely and thinking silently. Mother turned to face him and said "My son... You are not a failure. I know you have regrets Sephiroth, but look at my children standing in front of you. The way they are, their behavior and actions, their personalities.... were all shaped by you. Maybe you didn't finish the mission, my son, but you played a major role in shaping my children who came after you. Without you, my family would be completely different than this. Maybe they aren't exactly the same, but they were all shaped by you at the heart. Your devotion to me, to my legacy--manifested in all of them." Sephiroth kept his gaze on Mother. After a moment of silence, he drew closer to the wall and started to read the inscriptions out loud " 'When the Planet begins rebellion and all turn against us, a lone SOLDIER of legend will risk everything to protect the existence of his Mother and the future of Her legacy. Should all end in failure, Reunion will grant a second chance and cause the birth of a new child to avenge the fallen Mother and Her son.' Wait, this writing is... the foundation of Mother's legacy. It all started with me and her... and continued despite failure in the beginning." Loz spoke next and replied "Which means the enemy would never truly succeed victory. Everything written there explains why we always came back to the planet after a former defeat, or what seemed like one. They tried to run, hide, and bring us down; but this says Mother would hunt them down no matter how many times we failed." Sulbio shook his head and said "Not only that, Brother. It also explains why Big Brother was and is in each of us--to a lesser or greater extent, there's a certain amount of him in all of us even though he is in physical form again. Reunion ties Mother and him to all of us--thats what makes us family and identical in nature. The power of Mother's cells ties us all together in a bond of unity. Her desire to return and successfully initiate Reunion--later to be her most powerful miracle, the Infinite Reunion--is why she and Big Brother never truly died. With our remnant birth, it was finally possible to activate the Infinite Reunion, hence why that was primary focus during the Third Great Race War on this planet. Thanks to Little Sister and our cooperation, it worked." Mother smiled at Sulbio and said "Very good, my son! You have it all put together." Sephiroth interrupted and said "Wait, thats not all.... there's something on the bottom... it says 'With each passing failure, the Reunion shall intensify over time to raise hope for Her legacy eternal.' Thats where the Infinite Reunion comes in, isnt it, Mother?" Mother giggled and nodded "Of course! The Infinite Reunion is my legacy eternal. But as you know, i cant just have any child born and get it activated just like that. There was a special formula required to initiate it's activation. That is why many years passed before it was possible to attempt. As that line reads, the Infinite Reunion is the final phase of my legacy and a solution to worldwide war against enemy races; in this case, humans. Its activation ends the chaos that is no more. For this reason, I had you run an emergency errand to lock my stone tablet away where the enemy would most likely be unable to locate it with their underdeveloped technology. Remember that time-space you went to before SOLDIER killed us?" Sephiroth nodded and said "Of course i do. Luckily they were too slow to halt my attempts hiding it. If they stole that from us, none of us would be standing here right now. They wanted us dead, and destroying that is the only way they could truly win. Shinra was responsible for releasing that intel. If they hadnt abused you the way they did, they would be clueless about it. That treasure held the formula for the Infinite Reunion and your legacy altogether." I quickly said "Brother, its because of you that the enemy was powerless to permanently wipe us out. If you didn't seal it in a time-space, we'd be history." I smiled at him, and he seemed to return a familiar grin. I then said "Mother, should we head to the top?" Mother smiled and answered "Yes, my child. I simply thought you would each want to know the origins of my legacy, the SAKUI incident aside. We all know about that unfortunate accident that came long before any of that. However, please do keep it hush-hush... if my children across the kingdom learn of that threat, my whole planet can be thrown into panic which would destroy the peace and family unity, so please be careful." We all nodded in understanding, and i said "No problem, Mother; will do."
Several hours later...
We finally arrived at the top of the tower, and i found myself gazing at Brother Rufus who held the JENOVA Splicers at his side. He approached us and said "Are you guys ready to fight? When i fuse Ultima and Omega, the monster will attack with fury." I turned to face my Brothers behind me, who each seemed nervous but bold at the same time. I smiled to help encourage them, and said "We defeated Shinra together, Brothers. I know we can do this too!" Yazoo smiled, revealing his gunblade as a signal he was prepared. Loz was the next to reveal his weapon, then Sulbio. Sephiroth's expression was hard, but he too got his weapon out and said "I trust you, my Sister. I dont know whats ahead anymore than you do, but just like Yazoo said at the foundation three days ago.... never give up. If you can heal someone as hurt as he was, i know you can do anything with the family cooperation." I turned back to face Mother, and drew my katana. I nodded, giving the signal we were ready to fight. She smiled and turned to Rufus, saying "Summon the beast, Rufus." Rufus quickly said "Im on it, Mother." I took a small portion of each materia containing Ultima and Omega from within myself, and Rufus pulled it towards his hand using his JENOVA cells. He lifted the JENOVA splicers and poked the materia fragments with it. Suddenly, a powerful light of gold and white suddenly enveloped the entire peak: a golden ring encased the edges, and a forcefield of blinding white enveloped the entire exterior, preventing anything from passing through. The ground began to shake heavily, and an insignia appeared in the center of the floor: Shinra Company's symbol in blinding gold. Before long, all i could see was the blinding gold and white light that felt like it was everywhere, and then a deafening roar seemed to come from high above, quickly getting closer within seconds. Out of nowhere, a giant monster landed in front of all of us and roared in fury. Noticing that was where Rufus was before all of this, i shouted "Brother!" I thought the monster had killed him, but the light was so powerful i couldn't even see Mother anymore. The tremors intensified as the beast stood before us, roaring powerful with rage. Perfect WEAPON was surprisingly beautiful: it had a tall body that was rather thin overall but looked very strong, it appeared to be made up of strong silver metal of some sort, with a large thorn off its back that seemed to illuminate a beautiful golden light. The thorn seemed to be the creature's powerhouse so to speak, as this was where it appeared strongest. It also had several long tails that were too many to count, they were large and had a mysterious black-purple glow. Its eyes were a bit narrow and had a red glow that seemed as bright and beautiful as a ruby; a blank but shiny red. Its arms seemed to be the only place that didn't have any glow other than the shiny metallic appearance the rest of it did. Unlike Ultima and Omega, this thing had no wings. What a strange fusion, i thought. This creature looked nothing like the last two i caught that were supposedly required to create this one. After the creature finally seemed to calm down, the tremors came to a standstill and everything slowly came back into view. However, the forcefield that blocked the outside of the tower and the shimmering Shinra logo didn't seem to vanish a bit. I wondered if they were created by the WEAPON. Remembering Rufus, i glanced around hastily trying to find him, but didn't need long; i saw him farther over from where me and my Brothers stood, laughing. I quickly said "Dont ever do that again!" Of course, he turned to face me with a smile and replied "Don't worry about me, Sister. You know I've done this before." I sighed but didn't respond; he knew i was afraid that the beast landed right on him, but like usual he just acted casual about it. Yazoo gazed in amazement at the beast that stood before us and said "So this is the Perfect WEAPON.... its so bright..." Sephiroth got his katana out to prepare fighting and said "Don't approach it carelessly! One hit and you're done for." Out of nowhere, a deep distorted voice said "Stop." Mother glanced up at the creature and said "So it can speak.... That experiment truly was flawless. WEAPON, you want to challenge Sephie, dont you? One on one?" The creature turned his gaze to Mother and seemed to laugh and say "You read my mind, but i dont want to challenge her alone. I wish to challenge her and her twin over there--alone." Sephiroth seemed to gaze at WEAPON in surprise, then started "Me..? But why me?" WEAPON seemed to sneer at him and replied "Dont be stupid. You two are the strongest in the kingdom, and i want to see how strong that is--combined." Yazoo interrupted saying "Hey, whats with that attitude?! Thats our Big Brother!" Out of nowhere, WEAPON roared fiercely. Yazoo moaned and staggered back in fear. The ground seemed to shake every time he roared, as though reacting to his immeasurable power. Sulbio also seemed a bit scared of him and said "This guy's feisty... even for me." Loz then replied "I wouldn't interfere with what he wants, Yazoo... i don't think the penalty would be pretty." Yazoo was too shocked to react any further. Mother giggled and turned back to face us, then said "Well, i suppose we'd better let you two challenge him. It is what he wants, after all." Yazoo seemed to hesitate then said "Wait, you're gonna just let him fight Little Sister without us?! How will we seal him inside of her if we dont help? She might die!" Of course, WEAPON immediately interrupted "Enough with your quibbling! If i deem her worthy of my power, i wont kill her like that. No different than if i choose Sephiroth to bear my power--end of story, you dunce!" Yazoo groaned angrily; i could see these two did not like each other at all. I knew WEAPON was frustrated and did not like having questions heaved at him at all. But i knew Yazoo was only trying to be the good and protective Brother he always was. Of course, WEAPON clearly didn't care about that. He wanted a fight worth his time, and that was loud and clear. Mother turned to Yazoo with concern, then floated towards him and held him in her arms trying to calm him down. Oh dear, i thought. If WEAPON chose me, i knew Yazoo and him would not do well together in battle since they couldn't even talk to each other with a friendly tone. Without any further discussion, both me and Big Brother approached Perfect WEAPON with our katanas ready. This was certainly going to be a battle of fates with only us two against this creature who was clearly overflowing with energy. Energy so great and immense, it may even rival the power of Mother's cells inside of us. If that was true, this fight would not be an easy one at all. WEAPON closed his eyes, then laughed a bit and said "Show me what a real battle is.... show me the power of JENOVA!" He roared again, and we each prepared to strike. Sephiroth started "Whatever Brother created, its smart..." I quickly replied "We can do this, Big Brother. He chose us because he knows we're powerful enough to stand up to him even when he runs wild. We just have to show him how we use that power--the power of Mother's cells."
