Sephieroth had met up with JENOVA at the Mako Reactor to discuss the SAKUI problem and everything else Sephiroth told her about secretly. After a long and thorough discussion, JENOVA had assigned Sephieroth yet another mission to find and destroy SAKUI and eradicate his units and entire race completely, all in order to prevent another major calamity or disaster of any kind that would put JENOVA and her entire kingdom in the face of death. Setting out to start her first task on capturing both Omega and Ultima Weapon, both her and Yazoo made straight to finding the rest of her gang and also Sephiroth to discuss arrangements.
Chapter 3: Skirmish& the Eye of Mystery
(This section will focus on Yazoo as the speaker) We had come to Mother's Church to meet up with Loz and Sulbio. I still had yet to learn what Little Sister was talking about when she said the struggle was far from over, but somehow i had a very bad feeling about it. The last war we fought was brutal enough, and the last thing i wanted was another one that would put her in serious danger. Fortunately though, we still had Mother's Infinite Reunion which is what saved Little Sister and the rest of the family. As long as that remained so, it was a big heap off my back. Little Sister was the first to get off her motorbike when we stopped, and i followed her lead as always and did the same. Loz seemed to feel confused and said "What is it? You seem to be in a hurry, Little Sister..." Sephieroth replied to him and said "I cant explain any of this in a very brief manner, but we're far from safe. There's something out there, and if we dont act it will find us and either kill us all or try to overthrow Mother." I cried out in shock with Loz and Sulbio, then quickly said "What?! What are you talking about?!" Sulbio looked as though he might cry, but didnt speak. Loz seemed surprised and worried at the same time, then said "Whats going on..?" Sephie sighed, then said "I wasnt supposed to tell anyone this, but.... There is an enemy out there somewhere in the cosmos, the boss of the lot going by the name SAKUI. SAKUI is Mother's worst enemy, and thus our worst enemy as well. There was a bloody and horrific war many years ago between Mother and our long lost Father JENBU against SAKUI and his wicked army. SAKUI was a destructive and mindless killer in the cosmos on a quest for intergalactical domination. Likewise, he targeted Mother and Father out of his greed in order to eliminate what he saw as a threat to his destructive goals. All of this happened before any of us were even born--before Big Brother was even born. Mother was pregnant with Big Brother during all of this.... she safely escaped, but..." We all stood in silence. I spoke next and said "But what..?" I could see Little Sister crying and trying not to shake from sadness, her hands balled tightly into fists. Sulbio spoke and said "Did Father make it..?" Sephie continued and said "Father used the Divine Seal on SAKUI in order to protect Mother and make sure Big Brother was safely born.... sacrificing himself and taking SAKUI with him... both of them died simultaneously." I replied and said "So thats why Mother came to this planet.... to raise Sephiroth and build a kingdom where she and all of her kind could prosper. And that was when Shinra Company took her and Big Brother, abusing both her power and Sephiroth.... why else did Big Brother get so angry with humanity? They stole everything from her and him!" Loz nodded and said "Exactly. Mother's power was not for them, and they used her power for their filthy selfish work without any thought. Mother doesn't like that, and Big Brother didn't like it anymore than she did for obvious reasons." I nodded in agreement, then said "You cant just force yourself on Mother like that.... If she deems you worthy enough, she shares her power with you and passes down blessings of her own. You cant just do experiments on her!" Suddenly, we all stopped in silence. I saw Sephiroth fly overhead and land between us all before any of us could say anything else. Sephie seemed surprised in a strange way, as though she was caught doing something she wasn't supposed to. Sephiroth seemed rather angry when he landed, giving Little Sister a look i didn't like; that face he makes when he gets ready to fight. That was never good. He spoke to Sephie and said "I told you not to tell anyone, Young Sister. You'll throw the entire kingdom into panic if this gets too widespread!" Little Sister seemed to sputter a bit, then said "But--Mother told me to--" Sephiroth interrupted her as he drew his katana and said "Thats enough. We'll do this my way!" Each of us shouted in surprise. Sulbio immediately said "You'll kill your own Sister?! Even i wouldn't do that!" Sephiroth replied, and said "I wont kill her. Just give her a fight to remember so she keeps her mouth shut next time." I immediately grew firm and steely, taking out my gunblade and said "You wont fight her without fighting me first!" Sephie gasped and said "Yazoo?!" Loz shook his head in his hand and said "Oh no... this wont end well. He's stronger than all four of us!" I quickly said "I dont care! I said id protect Little Sister and that means im doing it anyway!" I knew Loz was right and that i probably wouldn't stand a chance, but if it meant protecting Little Sister Sephieroth i did it anyway. It was only right for me to at least try protecting the person who saved Mother and the rest of us through countless sacrifices. I began to wonder if Sephiroth was even thinking about that. He sure didn't seem to be. Turning to me, Big Brother scoffed and said "You have no idea what youre saying. Awfully sad that as a protective Brother you put yourself in the face of something you know you cant fend off. Talk about suicide... no true child of Mother would do such a thing." Maintaining my steely expression and attitude, i held my gunblade towards him and said "Youre wrong, Big Brother! Look at what Sephieroth did--she is the reason youre back here in the first place! She is why we succeeded in activating Mother's Infinite Reunion; the reason we're still standing right here! Why are doing this in spite of all of that?" I saw Sephiroth's expression harden, but he didn't respond. I began to wonder what Mother would say to him about this attitude of his. For some reason, i had a feeling this behavior he was displaying here was not who he truly is inside. It just couldn't be; Mother would never raise any of her children to attack each other like that. After a long moment of staring at each other in silence, Sephiroth was the first to attack. Quickly catching on, his first move had missed me and we went back to back full force. The fight had officially started. However, it didn't take long for me to begin tiring. Big Brother wasnt just strong; he was incredibly fast. After several clashes, i faltered back, getting knocked to the ground. I immediately tried to get back up, gasping for air. This guy was no joke; he made me tired sooner than id expected. After i had finally managed to get back up, Sephiroth had prepared for one final strike with his katana. Too tired to do anything else, i held my hands out trying to shield myself and closed my eyes tight, letting out a light moan. Out of nowhere, i saw a bright white flash in front of me, followed by a child who appeared very young. Slowly lowering my hands, i saw who i waa gazing at: Little Sister's son, Kaibu. I gasped and said "Kaibu?" Kaibu like all of us had silver hair and green eyes, but his hair was surprisingly long for his age: at least 4 feet to be exact, and he was only 6. I quickly glanced at Sephiroth, who had gazed at him in shock, not lowering his katana. Sephie began to panic and said "Kaibu, no--!" She tried to run and grab him, but Sulbio held her back and prevented it. Kaibu spoke as though crying and said "Dont hurt my Daddy... please." I saw a faint red flash in front of him. Sephiroth quickly reacted and said "That eye.... thats Mother's--!" He couldn't finish, as though caught in a moment of shock. Kaibu seemed to stagger backwards a bit, leaning on me. Sephiroth still didn't move. He seemed almost as still as a statue, as though bound up by an unseen source. He grunted a bit, mildly shaking, then said "I cant move.... this is--!" Sephieroth seemed worried suddenly, and cried "Big Brother!" She rushed to help him, and tried to pick him up with her extra strength; no results. She tried pushing him gently, but he still wouldn't budge. Worried, she said "What is going on?! He wont move at all! Big Brother, can you breathe?" He remained silent, but seemed to be breathing. I stood in silent shock and said "What is this..?" Sephiroth replied as though struggling and said "Your son, he has the eye of--" Unable to finish, he coughed heavily spewing up small amounts of blood and then collapsing; he laid motionless on the ground, his katana falling beside him as he dropped. All of us cried out in shock and rushed to help him. We made haste to rush him to JENOVA Foundation HQ for recovery, hoping to be on time.
Several hours later....
All of us had gone back to the Mako Reactor, taking young Kaibu with us. I had sat him down on his bed, hoping he might lay down and sleep. He had been crying nonstop ever since Sephiroth fell unconscious at Mother's church. He still wouldn't calm down, but i continued doing what i could for him as the father. He kept crying and said "What have i done? I killed our Big Brother..." He had assumed he killed Sephiroth, but when we dropped him off at JENOVA Foundation we learned he was still breathing but in deep shock which is why he was unconscious. I knew i had to report the incident and everything else that happened to Mother, but i still had to help Kaibu calm down. The biggest problem though would be explaining how Sephiroth just dropped right there after Kaibu mysteriously appeared there. All of it had happened so fast i couldn't even think about how that happened or what even caused it. Another problem would be explaining why Sephiroth has been acting so strange ever since Little Sister became Family Hero; i didn't even know where to start with that one. I sat down beside Kaibu, gently lifting him into my arms and holding him. I tried to calm him down and said "Kaibu, it's ok little guy. He isn't dead.... and you didn't mean to knock him out, either. It was an accident, ok?" Pulling back and looking at me, he seemed to calm down and said "Mother wont be mad..?" I smiled and shook my head in response. He seemed to feel bad but wasnt crying, then said "But Daddy, it's my eye.... it turns red when im scared, and then it flashes and people cant move... I dont want to hurt Mother or anyone else in the family with it..." Gently putting him down beside me, i turned to him and asked "Kaibu... do you know how to control that power?" Looking directly at me, he shook his head and said "Thats why im scared, Daddy.... i cant control it because i don't know how. What if someone dies from its power? Someone i love?" Pausing in silence, i began to explain "Kaibu, dont fear your powers. If you fear them or dont believe you can control them, Mother will be sad and you can lose them as a result. If you fear your own power, you fear Mother. That eye you have is Mother's blessing to you, Kaibu. She gave you that power for a reason. I know its hard to control your powers sometimes, and its not always easy.... but that doesn't mean its impossible. It just takes some practice." I smiled at him and he smiled back, then said "But why did Mother give me that power?" I giggled and said "Sadly i cant answer that, my son. But dont worry, you'll see." He smiled up at me, then jumped towards me and said "I love you, Daddy!" Holding my arms around him i said "I love you too, Kaibu." After several minutes, i saw Sephieroth enter the room. I asked "Is he ok?" She nodded and replied "He's not seriously hurt, just a little overwhelmed. He should be alright, but we'll have a great deal of explaining to do with Mother...." I sighed, then nodded silently in agreement. Sephieroth sighed and shook her head and said "I just don't get it though... Ever since i left JENOVA Foundation after recovering from the war, Big Brother has been acting so strange.... I dont know whats wrong, but something tells me he isnt giving the whole story." I replied and said "If he wont tell us whats wrong, how will we know or be able to help him?" Sephieroth sighed and said "The only one who would know anything about that is Mother if he wont speak up.... I dont like talking behind Big Brother's back, but if he won't talk to us we'll just have to ask Mother about this. On a different note, i dont have much to tell about anything that happened in Mother's Church anyways. I mean, Kaibu's eye.... that strange paralysis it did to Big Brother, and the way he just collapsed like that... Only Mother would have the answers to all of this." I shook my head in silence. I knew nothing had gone as Little Sister had planned. I never would've expected the sequence of events we had, and she certainly wouldn't either with the war being over. After a long moment of silence i asked "What was the mission really supposed to be that we were meeting for?" She shrugged and said "Mother ordered me to catch Omega and Ultima Weapon so she could fuse them both to create a single being, supposedly powerful enough to stand up to SAKUI with real results. She wants to use the power of her cells to seal the newly fused beast inside of me so i can use its powers and hopefully defeat SAKUI and eliminate his units around the cosmos. Of course, i will have to capture the fused beast as well. We were supposed to meet and fight both beasts together, but as you can see that didn't happen at all." I stood up, then turned to face Little Sister. I was the next to speak "Well, theres nothing more we can do now. I guess we'll just have to meet up with Mother and hope for the best..." Sephieroth sighed and lead the way out of the room. I heard Kaibu shout from behind and heard him run somewhere behind me, as though trying to catch up. I had stopped suddenly as he flew directly in front of me, and he laughed playfully. Sephieroth also stopped and glanced at him in surprise, then said "He has his wing already? Well at least he knows how to fly." I smiled and said "Thats surprising... you didn't have your wing for several years growing up." She shrugged and said "Hmmm... it is strange, i agree. I wonder if Big Brother developed the same way as our son growing up... it would at least make sense, i suppose. Well, lets go see our Mother.... we know we've got some explaining to do about what happened out there." Kaibu smiled and said "Yeah! Im going to see my Mother!" Kaibu took off flying ahead of us, and i started to follow and said "Wait! We have to--" I felt Little Sister gently lower my hand and stop me, signalling me to keep quiet. She smiled in silence, and continued leading the way. Somehow, i had a feeling there was a really bumpy ride ahead of us: a son with a power we've never seen, Big Brother acting very unlike himself, and the new mission Mother had assigned us. Things really were far from over.

Kaibu took off flying ahead of us, and i started to follow and said "Wait! We have to--" I felt Little Sister gently lower my hand and stop me, signalling me to keep quiet. She smiled in silence, and continued leading the way. Somehow, i had a feeling there was a really bumpy ride ahead of us: a son with a power we've never seen, Big Brother acting very unlike himself, and the new mission Mother had assigned us. Things really were far from over.
