Sora said, then I spoke up. "A gift!? How can you call this a gift!? We were almost killed!" I said. "And this is how we can fight back, we can protect ourselves!" She said back. At that time, we all simultaneously got a text message.

At 16:00, a man will be killed and devoured by a group of carnivorous beasts.
At 17:30, there will be an unexplained explosion near Ikebukuro, and the cause will remain unknown.
At 19:00, four children will meet an unfortunate fate. Many witnesses claim the have seen them slaughtered by a snowman monster.

"Wh-what the heck? Is this for real?" I said. Just then, we all heard a scream coming from the southeast direction. "Guys...do you think..." Makoto began to speak, but he already knew. "Let's go check it out!" I said.
"Naoyama Middle School!? This is where the scream came from!?" Sora said, and we saw a guy running from a demon, until he tripped. "N-n-no! Stay away! I don't want to die!!!!" The guy started to shiver with fear, and I knew we had to help him. We stepped in front of the guy to shield him. "W-who are you kids-" "Just stay back! We'll protect you!" I said, and then the demon stepped up.
"Out of my way, ya little pipsqueaks! I gotta handle some business with the punk behind ya!" The demon said, then we all took a step back. My phone started to vibrate, and I remembered the demokns we formed contracts with. "Get your phones out!" I said, and we all summoned out demon partners. "I'm getting some info on big and brawny, over here. Its name is Oni, and he packs a punch!" Sora said. "You're damn right, Blondie!" Oni swung his giant club at the ground, and made us scatter.
After about 10 minutes of fighting, we had finally finished off the monster, and rescued the teenager.
"Thank you so much. I'm in your debt." The guy said. "My name is Tatsuya Saito, its a pleasure to meet you all." "It's a pleasure to meet you, Tatsuya." I said as I shook his hand. All of a sudden, Tatsuya's phone went off, and it showed a picture of Oni on the screen. "It looks like he made a successful contract." Makoto said.
"So this is my demon partner, huh. Alright then, please let me tag along with you guys!" Tatsuya said. "Woah! Don't you think you should be taking it easy?" Sora said, but it looked like Tatsuya was hell-bent on coming along. Just then, an explosion not far from here occurred. "Oh crap! What time is it!?" I said. "It's 17:00 right now. Wait...you don't think..." Sora started. "Let's start heading for Ikebukuro!" I said, and we all started running in the direction of the explosion.
