Ruin was dogding attacks...From his own friends!? He couldn't believe it himself! They just were helping him, and now this?? "Guys, whatever your reason for doing this, please-!", he started to plead. "Shut up, Null Elemental scum", Clover said, in a deeper voice than normal. "We've wasted enough time with you. Why we even bothered in the first place is beyond me". " Yeah", Aquaria added. "Nulls should be wiped out. And seeing as you're the only one left...Well, that just makes it easier". Ruin stepped back. "Clover...Aquaria... Do you really mean that..?", he asked, now starting to feel a bit scared, and heartbroken. "I'm happy we're getting through with this now. Aw, you sad? Just think, you'll be with your stupid mother soon!", Emby scoffed. That's when Ruin felt something flare inside him. He took his sword out, and it engulfed itself in flames. "Fine...Take out your aggressions on me...But don't ever...EVER! Talk about my mother that way!!!", he yelled, as a fire swirled around him! They held their hands over their eyes to shield themselves from the light and heat. But they should've used this time to guard. Ruin flipped behind Clover, and ran the sword through his back! Letting out a bellow, he fell down. Aquaria and Emby's eyes grew wide when they saw Clover fall. "O-ok, we take it all back!", Aquaria stuttered. "R-right! I mean, I'm sure those Nulls are super awesome people! Right??", Emby smiled nervously. Ruin stood up, his eyes darkened out. "You oughta know, Emby...You told me yourself...", he said, walking over to them. Aquaria shook her head, and ran at him, her nails extended. Ruin dodged her swipes, and even clashed his blade with her. "Hey, you're not even that tough! Must've been dumb luck, 'Nully'!", she laughed. Emby watched, feeling a bit better..Until he realized he let her get close. "HEY!! LOOK OUT!!" He yelled, but it was too late. Ruin knee-gutted her in the stomach, and delivered a diagonal slash to her. Her scream went from high-pitched to disorder as she fell down on her face. Ruin turned his attention to Emby now. "....Heheh, y-you know that won't work on me!! I'm a Fire Elemental! R-remember, 'Nully'!?", he chuckled nervously, walking back. " If you're not worried, then why are you walking away from me?", Ruin asked, as his blade flared again. "And why aren't you using my name, just like the other two didn't"? Emby, or rather, the disguised Dark Elemental realized Ruin had found out who they were. Taking out his own sword, he changed back to his original form, and charged Ruin. "If you had've stayed as my dear friend, I would've made this less painful...", Ruin muttered. "My cover's blown now, what's the point!? But at least I can slash you to pieces now! DIE!!!!", the Dark Elemental shrieked, as he jumped slashed at Ruin, clanging his sword against his. Ruin felt the force of the Dark Elemental's power through his sword. It's just like the cat said, they weren't to be taken lightly. The other two must've been too caught off guard by his sudden state to react in time. Repeatedly, the Dark Elemental continued to force Ruin to go more in defensive rather than offensive. "See?? SEE!? You're nothing!! You can't even land any blows! You're too weak!! Just like Jhuter said!!", he laughed maniacally, as kept slashing at him. He was right about that. But Ruin noticed that he was using the same pattern: Diagonal left, diagonal right, upward slash, downward slash. Repeat. He timed it just right, and when the Dark Elemental raised his sword, Ruin's sword flared out, blinding his opponent. Quickly, he kicked him forward, and charged. "HEATNIX SLASH!!!", he yelled, and sent the same attack as used on Clover to the Dark Elemental! Only this time, he didn't hold back as much as he did. The Dark Elemental tried to block, but the force of it was too great. Letting out a howl, he fell to his knees...Then fell on his face. Ruin slashed right, and planted his sword in the ground, feeling pretty triumphant.
Just then, he noticed some strange shadowy mist come from the Dark Elemental bodies, and creeped around his blade. Hepickedi it up to see if there was any damage. Suddenly, the blade began to glow a dark purple, and it began to feel heavier for some reason! Then he noticed that the actual blade had extended! "What happened to you??", he wondered. He swung it nearly walked forward a bit. It seemed the shadow mist had increased its range, as well as sharpness. But the downside was it made tougher to swing with ease. Then he remembered what Emby told him that the messenger said: The blade can be further tempered. He struggled to put it back in his sheathe, and shockingly found out that shrunk back in place! Now that that was out of the way, he wondered what became of his friends? He didn't hear any sounds of struggle when he was on the ground, but at the same time, he couldn't see what was happening. They must've been taken to the Valley of Shadows! Worried about them, he hurried down the path, not notcing there something watching him..
Meanwhile, Clover, Aquaria, and Emby were in cells, chained to the wall. "Hey, are you two ok?", Clover called. "I'm fine, just a bit confused..How about you, Emby?", Aquaria answered. "Hey, get me off these things!!", he yelled, tugging and pulling with all his might. "Calm down! You'll only exhaust yourself", Clover replied. He recalled watching as the Dark Elementals that had them, somehow, took their shapes, and pulled them into the shadows. They were chained up, and their captors went back through. "You guys havin' fun?", a voice asked. They looked up, and saw a Dark Elemental with a cocky smile. "How did you-??", Aquaria started to ask. "Same way those books brought you here, toots", he winked at her. "Who are you?", Clover asked. "The name's Jhuter, pleased to meet your acquaintance, 'Your Majesty', he sneered, taking a bow. "So, you know who I am, I presume?", Clover replied. "Yeah, you're Nature Elemental prince. Paid a visit to your home when I was out and about", Jhuter explained. "What the-!? But how??", Emby asked, kind of impressed. "Dude, I can travel through the shadows. We get around pretty quick", Jhuter smirked. "Awesome", Emby marveled. "Emby...Don't be so easily impressed. Did you forget that HE'S the one that massacred the Null Village?", Aquaria asked, in an 'Are you serious' accent. "Oh, right. Sorry..", Emby mumbled. Jhuter laughed. "Kids... But I guess that's true. I did lead a team to the Null Village. But those guys didn't put up a good fight". "Why go there at all!? They never did anything to you guys!", Aquaria shouted. Jhuter walked over close to Aquaria, looked down, and looked back up in her eyes. "You sure you're not a Fire Elemental? You're pretty fiesty", he smiled. "F-fiesty!? You take that back! Or I'll-!", she started to say, but was interrupted when Jhuter kissed her neck. "What're you doing, you, you-!?", Clover barked, and pulled harshly on his chains. "Sorry, just couldn't help myself. Jealous much?", Jhuter asked Clover, obviously knowing the answer. Aquaria tried to find the words to say to belittle Jhuter, but she was also trying to regain her composure from that. It made her blush a bit, considering that was the enemy. "Aaaanyhoo, I'm gonna grab a bite to eat. You want anything? No? Alright, just holler if you change your mind!", Jhuter's voice trailed off as he walked away.
Meanwhile, Ruin had made it: The Valley of Shadow was in the distance. Knowing somewhere inside were his friends, he made his way down. He had a feeling of uneasiness as he descended. Strange creatures were eyeing him as traveled down, and bats were fluttering around him. Nevertheless, he continued on. When he made it down, he saw the civilization the Dark Elementals had built when they were confined in the valley. It was actually pretty amazing. But enough admiring it. He was on a rescue mission! Quietly, he ran over to the walls around the city. He looked around the corner, and heard the sound of weapons getting sharpened, and metal getting struck. Were they smithing? Didn't matter he had to move forward. "Oh, so you're alive..", a familiar voice coming from behind him said. Quickly turning around, he saw the Dark Elemental who had him pinned from before! "You!", he replied, jumping back. "Yeah, it's me. Impressive, you beat my team. I guess you overcame my plan to fool you", she shrugged, smiling. "Yeah, well, they didn't know anything about me. If they did, I probably wouldn't be here now", Ruin replied, feeling witty. "Well, isn't that great? The big bad Null Elemental took down some grunts. You want a cookie?", she smirked. "There's no time to play games. Tell me where my friends are, and I'll be on my way", he said. Even though Dark Elementals were the ones who killed his mother, he wanted the ones responsible for it. "So you're planning on just brushing little old' me to the side, huh? Talk about rude. Maybe someone should teach you a lesson in manners", she said, getting in a stance. "C'mon, I don't have time for this!", he replied, unsheathing his blade. Just like before, it extended, tinted dark purple. "Well now, what have we here? That's an impressive weapon. I can see that some of our essence has been forged inside... You get that from my lackeys?", she asked, studying it. "I'm...not sure what happened. All I know is that it got more powerful when I beat them! Wait, why am I telling you!?", he said, shocked. "It doesn't matter. I know what kind of blade that is. Dunno how you got your hands on it, buuut I can still take you", she told him, beckoning him with her finger. Ruin got pretty mad at her doing hat at him, and ran towards her. Using the strength he had, he picked up his blade, and tried to slash her. But she flashed to the side just as the heavy blade strucked the ground. "Missed me", she teased. Getting more angry, he picked it up again, and swung it at her. She bent backwards, and flip-kicked the blade, making Ruin almost fall back himself! "Don't tell me my lackeys got beaten by you..This is joke, right?", she asked, starting to laugh. "H-hey! My blade wasn't as heavy as it is now!", he protested, picking it back up again. But hpwhen he looked up, she had disappeared! "Is that a fact?", he heard her whisper from behind him. At any other time, Ruin would've reacted, had it not been from the weight of his newly forged blade. He felt her hands slowly wrap around his waist. "I really thought I would've gotten a good fight from you...", she continued to say, leaning her head on his back.
Ruin froze. "W-what're you doing???", he asked. "Well, it's not like you can hit me. It's oblivious...", she said. Ruin felt one of her hands on his bare chest, and the other on his stomach. His face was red. "For a Null, you've got a nice build", she teased. "T-this isn't funny!", Ruin squeaked, trying to move, but she surprisingly had a tight grip around him, despite her position. "Oh my gosh, you're blushing?? That's adorable!", she giggled. "This wasn't what I was expecting, but this moment is priceless"! "I swear, when I get out of this, I'm gonna-!", Ruin started to say. "You'll what? Try to cleave me in two? Face it, babe. You're not strong enough to use your blade now. I can tell you're using all your strength to hold it", she told him. That hit Ruin hard. She was right, no matter how he looked at it. His blade may be strong, but what use is it if he can't even hold it up? His thoughts got interrupted when he felt her nails run slowly across his chest into position. "It's been fun, but I can't have you snooping around causing trouble. But since I'm a sucker for cuties like you..I'll be gentle", Jade winked. Ruin didn't know what she meant, until he felt her nails pierce his stomach! He immediately felt weak. She had poisoned him!? He fell down, breathing heavily. Jade looked down at him, and rolled him over with her foot. She took the blade, and put it back in his sheathe, then proceeded to drag him far away from the city. After good ways off, she tossed him behind some rocks. "Later, Mr. Hero...", she winked, blowing a kiss at him, and went into a shadow. Ruin groaned, as he tried to pick himself up. No good. His arms and legs felt like jelly, and he collapsed again. Was this it? Was this the end for him?? Suddenly, he heard the sounds of beasts growling. "Great...just great..", he groaned. Huge behemoths came over, smelling the air. They caught Ruin's scent, and were pretty hungry. Ruin shut his eyes. "Emby..Aquaria..Clover...Mom and Dad.. I'm sorry...", he said weakly. Then he turned his attention up at the behemoths. "I hope this poison in me gives you horrible indigestion..".
