Ruin had met the small Fire Elemental, Emby. It didn't take long for them to get to know each other as they walked in the forest. Soon, after the chores were done, they went back to Ruin's house. "Oh,he's home!", Nihilia smiled, as she got up from knitting a new shirt for her son. " Greeeat...Let's hope he brought some decent meat back", Corc scoffed. When she opened the door,Nihilia gasped at what she saw. "Hi mom, I brought-? Are you ok?", Ruin asked. " I don't believe it..that's a Fire Elemental beside you!",she exclaimed. "Haven't you guys seen other Elementals before?", Emby wondered,scratching his head. "I've seen a few in my life,but-". " Oi,what's with all the commotion??? ",Corc asked,walking up behind her. When he saw Emby,his widened. " H-hey,what's one those hotheads doing here!?",he stammered nervously.
"Hothead!? Why you...!", Emby seethed as steam came from his body,and hair started to flare up. " Whoa,Emby! It's fine,father didn't mean that", Ruin said,trying to calm him down. Emby returned to normal,panting from his anger. "Oh, honestly Corc! Why can't you keep quiet for once??", Nihilia sighed. Once the tension died down, Nihilia invited Emby to stay for dinner, but Corc sat in the living room. "I'm sorry Emby. My husband had a tiff with your people in his younger days. I guess seeing you might have relit that fire, so to speak", she explained. "Aw,it's ok! Can't stay mad as long as you're here!", he grinned. "(Is he hitting on my mom???)", Ruin thought. "It is very rare that we even have other Elementals visit, you know. Just your presence alone made our fire burn brighter! Thank you for that". " I don't get it, why would it do that??",Emby asked curiously.
Nihilia put her spoon down. "It is said when when an Elemental is nearby, any element of its nature will be more rich and bountiful. For instance,with you, fire will be stronger instead of weak. If a Water Elemental was near, it'd make the waters cleaner, and would enable fresher fish to be caught, you see"? Both of the boys nodded. " As Null Elementals, we do not have the necessary power needed for a good life, but we get by on what we know and have", she said with a smile. "I have to say, you guys do pretty well for yourselves!", Emby exclaimed.
Later that night, Emby was sleeping in Ruin's bed, when he heard some rustling. He got out, and went to see where the noise was coming from. That's when he saw Ruin holding a sash with a bag attached, a sheath, and a small blade. " Psst! What're you doin'??", Emby whispered. Ruin turned to him. "After hearing mom's story..I'm gonna go find a way to bring some Elementals to our village. Maybe if they're are some nice enough like you, our village would be more bountiful", he replied in a hush. Emby's eyes lit up. " Y-you mean you're going on an adventure!? I wanna-!", Emby yelled,but Ruin quickly covered his mouth. "Shhhhh! Don't wake up my parents!", he shushed. Emby nodded,and Ruin removed his hands. " Take me with ya! I can help too!", he whispered. "I dunno, Emby. Won't your parents be worried? You've been hanging with me all day and not once went back to your home", Ruin said. " It'll be fine! I'll tell them in the morning! Pleeeeeeeeease???",the small Fire Elemental begged. Ruin sighed. "Alright...I guess I could use some help. I don't really have powers like you". Emby was so happy, he shot fire out the window like fireworks! The next day, Nihilia went to wake up the boys, when she saw the bed made, and a small letter on the pillow.

After hearing your stories about other Elementals, I've decided to find some to live in our village to make our resources more abundant and fresh.
I don't know how long it will take, but I promise to be back as quick as I can. Emby has decided to come with me, so don't worry. -Love Ruin *And Emby*.
"Oh my...", she replied,feeling a bit dizzy. " My son...he left...". "Nihilia, where's Ruin?? He usually brings us some o' that honey on bread stuff!", Corc called,walking upstairs. Nihilia simply handed him the letter for him to read. After he read it, Corc facepalmed. " That fool...Gone off to convince Elementals to help our sorry hides, has he"? "It would seem so...", Nihilia replied, looking out the window. " That boy's gonna get himself killed thinking he can do whatever he wants...", he muttered,leaving the room. When he was in his bedroom, he sat down. "Ruin,you fool...Don't go dying us, you got that? Trying so hard to make you stay out of trouble, and you insist on doing this???
