The battle was won against Sharnoc, tyrant of the sea by the combined efforts of Ruin, Emby, and Aquaria. But along the way, Emby got weakened by the rush of water during the battle, and was saved by Aquaria's air bubble. Ruin decided to find a way to heal him back before continuing, and is now joined by Aquaria for his and Emby's efforts saving the Water Elementals.
"Don't worry Emby, we'll find some way to heal you back", Ruin said, as he carried his friend down the path. "Do you suppose that returning to the Village of Fire will help him?", Aquaria asked. "I didn't think of that! Maybe there's a way for restoring a Fire Elementals strength there! Good idea!", he replied happily. So they made their way back to the Village of Fire, hoping to find answers there. Along the way, Aquaria started wondering about Ruin. He was a Null Elemental, and normally, she, like any other Elemental, wanted nothing to do with them because they were the rejects. But here she found herself, siding with him to help his village, and of all things, help save a Fire Elemental, the Water Elemental's enemy! She chuckled to herself as he followed behind him. "Huh? What's funny?", he asked. "Oh, nothing! Just remembered something in the past!", she quickly said sheepishly. "Say. What's your base like"? "My what?? I don't think I understand what you mean. Like, my village"? "No, I mean...Well, it may not be important to mention"... "Wha? You can't just start something and leave me hanging! You got me all curious now"! "No, it's-!", she began to say, when a familiar face came across their path! "A Flare Bear?? Just what we need...", Ruin groaned. "Ah, so this is a Flare Bear. I've heard stories about these beasts. It doesn't look so tough", Aquaria said, flipping her hair back. "You watch over the little Fire Elemental, I'll handle it". Ruin blinked in shock as he stepped back. The Flare Bear looked at her, and snarled fiercely as she stepped forward. "You don't frighten me. Go now, before I'm forced to make you"! Not listening, it charged her, ready to swipe her head off, when she stretched out her hand. " Tidal Wave!", she called, and her body became cloaked in water! Suddenly, a water spout formed around her, spread out, and formed a big wave of water! Ruin watched in amazement as the tidal wave engulfed the Flare Bear, putting out his its flame! She walked up to it, trident in hand. "I warned you", she said, and turned to leave when the bear jumped back up to still try to kill her! "Watch out!", Ruin yelled. She spun her trident, and pierced the Flare Bear in its stomach, finally defeating it. "Thanks for the warning. Come, let's continue on our way, shall we?", she smiled. Ruin jaw dropped as he stood up with Emby. "(I've got to learn how to do that!)", he thought.
Finally, they reached the Village of Fire. "You go on in. I will wait outside", Aquaria said, sitting down by a tree. Ruin nodded, and carried Emby inside. As he walked through the village, Fire Elementals stopped doing what they were doing, and watched him walked down the path. Not only were they surprised that a Null Elemental was treading in their village without getting burnt to a crisp, they also spied a young boy in his arms that looked a bit too much like their chief's son, but injured looking. "Hey, you! What're you doing in our village!?", a rather authoritive Fire Elemental demanded. "I, uh-", Ruin began to say, as the Fire Elemental stomped closer. He looked at Emby for a bit, then looked up at him. "That's Emby...Chief Ignite's son! Why is he so pale"!? Ruin was actually too nervous to say., because now, all the commotion attracted the other Fire Elementals, plus the fact he had their leader's son in such bad shape. "Where's his flame???", another asked concerned. "He's barely breathing!", another exclaimed. Then they all turned their attention towards Ruin. "What did you to him!? Friggin' Nulls...I knew this would happen the moment I saw you standing outside our village! You probably ate his powers, didn't you!?", they shouted. "Wait, you don't understand!", Ruin tried to say, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. One of the Fire Elementals snuck off to tell Ignite, while the others took Emby away from him. "Poor boy, don't worry, we'll watch over you now", a Fire Elemental woman assured him. "Hope you've said your prayers, because you burn today!", the authoritive Fire Elemental said, as he flared up! The others circled around him so that he couldn't escape. Ruin really didn't know what to do! His sword was broken, so he could defend himself. And he doubted he could try to bolt through the crowd to reach Aquaria. "I won't fight you!", he said, sitting down. "Are you so pathetic, that you won't even defend yourself"!? "I haven't done anything to Emby! He came with me because he wanted to, and he knew the dangers he would face if he followed me. He played a huge part in assisting me!", Ruin replied. "Lies! Don't believe his garbage! Nulls will say anything to save themselves! You've got some nerve, boy! Eat this!", the Fire Elemental yelled, and punched him! Luckily for Ruin, the Fire Ring he had on eliminated most of the damage from the Fire Elemental, so it didn't hurt as much. He slowly got back up, sat down.
"Mock us, will you..", he seethed, and kicked him over again. Ruin sat up again, and just looked at him. "I've done nothing wrong to you, so I won't fight", he said. Enraged, the Fire Elemental unleashed a barrage of punches on Ruin, and he took it all in. "Ruin!", Aquaria called as she rushed through the crowd. "Look out, a Water Elemental!", they gasped, moving to the side. She knelt by him, helping him up. The Fire Ring may have decreased damage felt by the Fire Elemental, but he still took quite a beating. "She knows him??"', one murmured. "He must've known that we'd try to avenge our own, so he brought backup", murmured another. "So, that's your game, huh? You were going to have her try and douse us", the Fire Elemental assumed, cracking his knuckles. "If you lay one more hand on him, I'll make sure you never flare again!", she snapped. He scoffed unimpressed, but he was a bit nervous, though. Water Elementals, especially skilled ones can douse almost any Fire Elemental, that's why they're enemies. But in turn, Fire Elementals can turn their water attacks into steam, if they're skilled enough. "There he is, sir!", the one who went to tell Ignite shouted, as the two made their way into the crowd. "Your son, Chief Ignite", the Fire Elemental woman said, giving Emby to him. Ignite put his hand on his head. It was cooled down. "How did this happen?", he asked, looking at Ruin. "Sir, if I may?", Aquaria stood up. "A Water Elemental... What is your name"? "I am Aquaria. Ruin, and your son saved us when we were in peril. I would not be here if it weren't for them", she told him. "Go on", he replied. Aquaria nodded, and told him the events on what happened in Water City, and why they traveled back to Fire Village.
Ignite looked at his son. "Emby, even though you knew what would happen, you still ventured into the water to save them...", he said. He looked at all the others. "Why have you treated Ruin this way? Let him up", he commanded. The Fire Elementals moved back from Ruin and Aquaria, surprised as Ignite's words! "Ruin, I believe I owe you an apology for my people's mistake". "It's ok, sir. We would've done the same if it was one of our own", he smiled. "Even so, my apologies... I thank you for taking care of Emby as you came here again. I do know of a way to heal him. Please come with me", Ignite replied, and the two followed him to where Ignite resided. "It's so hot...", Aquaria moaned, as she put up a water bubble around herself to cool off. "Sahara, we need you", Ignite called. A woman with long flaming hair garbed in a white and red robe came in. "Yes, darling? What is it?", she asked. Ignite explained to her what happened, and showed her Emby. Her eyes widened, and lifted the boy into her arms. "My son... Why do you always do such foolish things and make your mother worry so"? "Wait, is that..?", Ruin began to ask Ignite. "Yes, this is Sahara, Emby's mother, and also my wife. She is the head of the Fire Priestesses, and they specialize in healing Fire Elementals, as well providing defenses for them", Ignite explained. "Oh, sort of like where I'm from! Amazing!", Aquaria marveled. "(And Emby thought my mom was 'hot'?)", Ruin thought, smirking at his pun. Sahara called in the other Fire Priestesses, and then circled around Emby. They clasped their hands together and Sahara stood over Emby with her hands out, as if receiving a gift. Just then, the room began to glow white as Ruin and Aquaria noticed small orbs of white fire began to float towards Sahara. "Don't be afraid. This is Healing Fire", Ignite assured them. The orbs gathered into a good sized ball in Sahara's hands, as she knelt down by her son. "Rise, my son", she whispered, and gently placed the orb into his chest. Nothing happened for a while, but then, Emby opened his eyes very wide, he jumped up, and flared as hard as he could! The other Fire Elementals noticed a pillar of fire coming from the Chief's home outside. "The Fire Priestesses! They've done it again!", they cheered.
"Whooooo!!! Yeah, that's the stuff!", Emby exclaimed happily. "Emby! No flaring up in the house!", Sahara reminded him. "S-sorry, mom", he replied sheepishly, turning down his fire. "Emby, your friend told me what you did for the Water Elementals... You must really value him if you would go to such lengths as this. I'm very proud", Ignite smiled, patting his head. "Glad you're back to normal, buddy!", Ruin grinned, extending his hand. "Right!? Thanks Ruin!", he replied, high-fiving him. He looked at Aquaria, who was smiling at him being so cheerful. "Oh, and yeah, thank you too, I guess. I probably would've drowned if, y'know..", he told her, kind of embarrassed to admit it. "Please, it was my pleasure! Also, if it weren't for you breaking my chains, who knows where we would've been? So thank you", she replied, and pecked his cheek. Emby jumped back, and rubbed his face as he felt a little steam come from him. It didn't hurt, but it kind of made him blush. "Heh, you've still got some growing up to do!", Ignite laughed. "Dad! You're embarrassing me!", Emby whined. "Well, if you're ready to go, we can leave right now?", Ruin suggested. "I'm in! How about you, 'water girl'?", Emby asked. "Sure thing, 'sparky' ", she giggled. "Fire and Water Elementals getting along??? What exactly happened when you left with my son, Ruin?", Sahara asked. Ruin shrugged with a smile. ~Part 7 End
