You wished... The thing is, splatoon will be a wii u exclusive only and making a 3ds version means sown graded graphics and its not exclusive to the wii u. It also will not work, the 3ds screen is small also so yeah. So thus, it will only be a wii u exclusive.
If Nintendo does make one for the new 3ds xl it will only be after Ninetndo sells a few million Wii Us'. By few million I mean about 10 to 15 million consoles.
