Interesting facts about Japan~!

These are just some cool facts i learned about japan and thought i would share with everyone :)

  • Late-night dancing is illegal in Japan. (sucks for people who love dancing )
  • Japan's literacy rate is almost 100%.
  • Japan has just 2 gun-related homicides per year (annd the safest place of the year goes to.. japan!)
  • Average life expectancy in Japan is one of the highest in the world. Japanese people live an average of 4 years longer than Americans. (Long live japan~)
  • Japan consists of over 6,800 islands. (that's alot of islands..)
  • Japanese Trains are among the world's most punctual: their average delay is just 18 seconds. (soo fast :0 )
  • Square Watermelons are grown by japanese farmers for easier stack and store. (wonder if it taste better than normal ones..)
  • The first novel, The Tale of Genji, was written in 1007 by a Japanese noble woman, Murasaki Shikibu.
  • In Korea and Japan, there is a Cat Cafe where you can go to drink coffee and hang out with cats for hours. (oh cat lovers~ i found heaven )
  • In Japan, 685 kids were rushed to hospitals in 1997 after an intense Pokemon episode that caused dizziness, vomiting and seizures. ( o.o what a intense episode.. )

Nice, I wasn't aware of those facts. On another hand, about the Pokémon fact, I wonder if it's related to the Porygon episode (that was banned from airing everywhere else), but I already heard about it.

These are some pretty interesting facts.
The punctual trains I can confirm: NEVER had a problem with the Subway and bus services when I was there.
It's because people use public transport more than cars.
Soo colorful :3 and Interesting :)
