Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars Review

This is my first review and I am going to do it on one of my favorite game: Mario Vs. Donkey Kong Tipping Stars.

This game I think is great. This is the best of the games in the MvD series. For the price of $20 I thought was a rip-off, however this games has tons of content. I think this game is very addicting and once in a while you get an "Aha!" moment, however, it's very tedious to complete. I got it on the day it was first released (3/5/15) and it took me about three months to 100% it. Another thing that makes this game worth the purchase is that when you purchase the 3DS version you can get the Wii U version for FREE! and vice versa. I still don't have my own Wii U yet, but when I get one, I will be very excited to play this game again. The basic game play is very simple, you tap the toys and they start to move and it's your job to guide them to the door and grab all the coins. I can also tell many others play this game because whenever I went online to play some levels for stars, I see tons of new Mii's creating many levels.
The reason this game is tedious is because of all the stars you must collect to get everything. You get three stars per level you 100%, as in grabbing all the coins and reaching the exit without wasting much time, and you use the stars to purchase things in the shop to enhance your level creations. You can also tip players if you think their level was good, and I know what you're thinking, "what's the point of giving my stars away?" Well, if you tip players stars (you tip from 1-5 or 0 if you don't want to tip) they may tip your levels and you can earn stamps for your Miiverse posts you make for your levels. there are 72 stamps to get and it takes at least five stars to get one, and some may take a lot of stars. I remember it took me at least 30 stars just to get one stamp! You also need a lot of stars to unlock everything in the shop. It costs over 10,000 stars to buy everything! Gold Mario is 5,000 stars alone! However if you make popular levels that everyone likes, you'll get there in no time because each time someone beats your level you get 1 star per play through. One of my levels was popular and I got at least 1,500 stars altogether from a single level.
There is also a story mode. Personally, I think story mode is boring and not worth time or stars. There are 80 levels in story mode. There are also bonus levels that unlock from how many gold trophies you have. There are 12 bonus levels. I don't like story mode because the levels are very difficult, which most players may like.
In conclusion these are my opinions and facts about Tipping stars I would rate this a 9.5/10 (because of story mode and of how tedious it is) The next review I will probably be doing is on Pokemon TCG for GC.
