With almost 3 months left to get that Zelda Picross, I figured some people want to save some points for this My Nintendo exclusive game. However, saving up 1000 My Nintendo points is a pain in the neck, and you can't really save that much overnight.
Well, not overnight but it is possible to earn 1000 points before the deadline (10/1/2016).
This 'how to' guide assumes that you've already done all 'one-time' missions in My Nintendo. I will mostly focus on weekly missions that well, yeah, resets every week.
Here's a breakdown of how you can earn 120 points per week or at least 1000 points in 9 weeks (about 2months -- yeah, it's a long wait but really worth it), and again these are WEEKLY MISSIONS that you need to check regularly:
1. Sign in to My Nintendo. WEEKLY. You will see a silver coin laying on the floor near your Mii and your coin bank, click it! 30 points down in the bunker -- err, bank-er!
2. Remember to log in to Nintendo eShop in your 3ds. You don't need to buy anything, just as long as your My Nintendo account is linked to your Nintendo account -- it will automatically add 30 points (or if not added automatically, you can always go to the Missions page in My Nintendo and collect your coins)
3. Also log in to Miiverse. If you haven't touched that Miiverse app in your 3ds, now's the time to explore that app.
4. In My Nintendo home page, you will see the original Nintendo logo in gray color. It is in the upper most part of the page, at the center. Click on it and if you're not logged in to nintendo.com, go log that account! Try to remember your previous points to see if it will work. This is an infamous secret mission in My Nintendo. 30 points will automatically added to your account.
You can also check your Points History if you succeed in getting these missions:
