Since I talked a bit about the game a while back(yesterday), and since I'm just starting my second playthrough, I wanted to give this game a review, but not the one IGN gave it (6.5? *grumble,grumble*). A REAL review that actually shows that this IS a game you probably should buy if you like: Games with a good narrative, Pokemon, RPGs, Roguelikes and epic music and characters

Part 1: Story
This game's narrative overall is pretty epic, I will not get into details for now, since I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't played the game yet. The characters are likable (or hatable if they're the villains cuz duh) and have nice personalities, and the writing makes you sad, or happy, or whatever emotion they want to convey at the moment.
Part 2: Music:
Do I need to say anything else? Oh, I do? Copy Paste time!The music makes you sad, or happy, or whatever emotion they want to convey. And I think "Dialga's Fight to The Finish!" would need a review of it's own because there's more to it that meets the ear at first, but you would need context for me to explain, and spoilers and stuff.
Part 3: Gameplay:
It's a roguelike RPG with Pokemon, every time you enter a dungeon, the layout is different, so you can get the best items in a single room, or spawn in a monster house (a room full of enemies), some earlier dungeons are only 5 floors long, but the postgame ones can get to 99 floors, though if you're ready, you can take on every dungeon (except the zero isle, screw that place. Lvl. 1 and no items? What is this?)
Part 4: Aesthetics and graphics:
Yeah, sure. The graphics may not have been revolutionary, but not only do they get the job done and I think the sprites are actually look really nice (I'm more of a sprite guy), the places you visit, while inside the dungeons might look a bit bland, places like fogbound lake look incredible
Part 5: Final thoughts:
I really enjoyed the game and it was pretty long (*cough*postgameisnotreallypostgame*cough*), but enjoyable the whole time, even if some people say the combat is repetitive, it's still fun, my final thoughts are: What are you waiting for? Go buy this game right now! It's that good!(Why is it not on VC yet?)
