Here's a little guide in case you wanted it.
Help description: Browse content posted by players from around the world. If you find something you like, be sure to give it a Yeah!
But it's a little more than that... You can download stages and Miis and share things on Twitter or Facebook if you want not that I would want to on Facebook.
There is six headers. Hot, Videos, Replays, Spectate Replays, Miis and Stages. Videos are anything made by players that is edited. Typically higher quality and can be played like a YT video where you can pause play and change the time of the video whenever you want and usually isn't fight oriented. Replays and Spectate tab videos are shared full length fights which might sound bad but you can quit at any time if the match isn't good and you can move the camera any way you want while the match is playing. As far as I'm concerned the Spectate tab is only different from the Replay tab because the Replay tab has a title and are player submitted whereas the Spectate tab has GSP (which doesn't really matter). Mii Fighters and stages are able to be downloaded unlike the other formats. Which is good if you want really well made stages or your favorite non-Smash character to play as but remember your friends and family who go to your house will see them too.
And we aren't into the features you need to learn to find what you want yet. Press X and then Keyword to search everything. Miis have shorter names while stages and videos have longer names. Details allows you to look up even more specifics but you cannot search multiple things in one category for example you cannot find a match with Olimar and Peach fighting each other without searching and then looking through the muck. Details is helpful though because you can find stuff by Creators you follow, friends and things you gave a Yeah! to (a.k.a. the Smash like button). You can follow a creator by looking at a Replay, Video, Mii, or Stage and then going to the lower right box and hit follow.
You can press Y to sort by recommended, popularity and date (and downloaded from Smash World if you do use it and download something) in that case I think popularity is the most relevant but date is helpful too in case there's an update that changes any of the characters that you want to see in action. You can send friend requests to anyone that makes content but you're probably wasting your time unless it's someone famous (famous HA) that doesn't care but you're better off just following them. Use R to move between tabs. You can report in a similar way to following people in case you see some dirty stage. You can view replays and test stages and test Miis right away which is nice. You can also search by ID which probably takes tyo uto whatever you saw in the ID picture.
imo some search options are too vague, not specific enough like fighters, and confusing like sorting by recommended and popular. Great for stages but tournaments only use existing non custom stages. Video quality varies also so your better off watching YouTube or Twitch for better quality and better players.
Hope you learned something from my Smash guide. Thank you for reading. <3 Artisan out.
