My first playreview ever. Of SM64.
Ok, lets get started.
First off, this game is on the N64 which means I have to use a emulator because I dont have the money for it. It will be 100% cheat free and the blog will have only 1 stage a "part." Let's start!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The opening begins. The music plays as a canvas of clouds and scenery steps in. The music fades to a familar sound of a "Yahoo!" It's mario.
So when this cutscene is over mario steps into the castle where he is greeted (and recorded) by lakitu, which then films mario for the rest of the game.
As mario steps in, the princess has been found missing and a laugh of browser enters the room. This is where it starts. Oh look, bomb omb battlefield.
This is a quite easy stage, and for some (not me, sadly) nostalgic. It is fairly easy since it is the first stage of the game, and has a giant bomb-omb at the top which is the first mini-boss of the game. He declares himself as the "King of all bom-ombs." Let's get started on the gameplay.
First off, the camera is pretty good and stable and the controls feel smooth as the gameplay mixes in which makes for fun and allows the player to get used to it. The level has red coins and new obstacles as a change from the famicon games.
There is things like titlting platforms around the giant mountain. So I went to the mountain and found the first boss, with a mighty crown and the star we were looking for. By the name of bom-omb battlefield it was quite obvious to see that there was many of them roaming in the level, including ones on the mountains stairs up. Giant bombs are rolling on the stairs, that can knock you out and lose health. Oh boy. Even cannons with bubbles firing are there...
When I got through all the balls/bombs, I went up top to see the crown and the giant up-close. It was pretty easy being the first mini-boss, with a objective strategy: Throw him. It's kind of a thing in most of the bosses in this game, and it was relitively amazing how much weight mario could heavy for big bomb-omb.
Once I defeated the "Big bomb-omb", I got a Star to enter another blog post/stage in the game! Rate for part II!
