Let's get right into it. Personally because Pit has minimal weaknesses I think at higher levels his matchups on the higher end go from +2 to +1 or even 0. I don't have too much matchup experience because I only played a couple matchups in person and the rest are CPUs but I can judge good enough if the characters don't have too many combos and I can tell if certain characters can kill earlier than the CPUs options at any point later in the match. Because Pit generally has a great offstage game literally almost any character in the game that isn't Pit can lose a stock from a disadvantage state making staying on stage or gimping Pit your priority but that's for another guide.
+2
Wario - Has waft which is bad because Pit is better close up. Pit has to work harder to win because Wario's aerials are so sudden and hit harder and it is moderately hard to gimp him offstage.
Mario - He isn't as bad as he is in Smash 4 for Pit but he can still combo with uair or gimp with forward air. Pit usually has to rely on smashes to get early kills if he wants to win.
Dr. Mario - Sure he hits hard but I just think the same problems Pit has with Mario are the same for him. If Pit recovers in a certain way he can get dunked by dair.
Peach/Daisy - Probably has a higher damage output than Pit and can recover horizontally better than Pit as Pit has to up B sideways to get back if he wants the maximum edge guard distance. Lack of experience playing this character makes me want to put them higher because they are on average put higher on tier lists.
Wolf - Has an easier time in neutral but his recovery is trash compared to Pit. Pit cannot really camp him out with arrows either as Wolf's neutral B is just a whole lot better than uncharged arrows. Both are good at hitting each other from below and catching each other when trying to land by just uair alone but can be converted to fair.
+1
Mii Gunner - Better fsmash and moves to camp Pit out but Pit can jump around them. Their Mii recoveries vary but up B 3 is just as good as Pit's. Pit has an easier time gimping but Mii Gunner has as better time on stage. Pit does have down B to reflect but Mii's can reflect or absorb so you have a 66% chance of having your better response being jump or shield.
Luigi - Still has good combos but a bad recovery doesn't help and his grab is more punishable. He's like Mario but not as hard to deal with.
Yoshi - You can't just gimp a Yoshi with Pit. Not possible. Super armor double jump is to blame. You have to gimp the first jump if you wanna try that. Mainly for this reason and Yoshi's speed put him above Pit. Also if you're Pit try to avoid those forward airs
Palutena - Due to a lack of matchup experience Palutena is higher. She does have trouble with zoning because Pit has a useful down B in this case but Palutena has an equally good neutral and usmash is super useful if Pit jumps and attacks or tries to get away.
Pac-Man - Pac-Man actually has a better time offstage depending on the situation. If Pit has to up B, Pac-Man gets free damage with multiple options like hydrant, bell, aerials, his own up B and stuff like that. Other than that Pit can reflect bouncing hydrants and fruits and I think Pit excels more onstage with slightly safer smashes and can use the hydrant against him.
Roy/Chrom - Roy/Chrom can deal more damage than Pit but if Pit learns to shield or punish certain attacks all Pit has to worry about is the neutral. Roy is slightly better because of his recovery which is hard to gimp.
Inkling - Inkling has kill setups and has a multiplier to damage and a lot of things that make it hard for Pit to deal with like grenades stage spiking as a possibility. Pit players might need more experience on this matchup to win but jumping is in general a great option against Inkling.
Wii Fit Trainer - Pit's arrows are harder to use on crouching WFT. Wii Fit has a similar option to Inkling with Deep Breathing and a healing projectile to boot. WFT also has a couple spikes up her sleeves.
DK - DK has cargo throw which is hard to deal with because you can easily get sent into a disadvantage state but for the most part DK can deal a lot of damage, is heavy and has a super armor recovery. You have to really play safer against him and punish his options if possible.
Piranha Plant - PPlant is heavy so Pit really has to rely on damage or smashes in this matchup. Not too much experience here but I've seen enough.
Bowser - He's heavy, fast, strong, and can easily catch you off guard and take the lead. Not to mention his recovery is really safe. Again shield or jump away and punish.
Ivysaur - Just a good character in general and has big hitboxes. Also has the advantage of having an option to switch to Charizard to recover.
Sonic - Is fast and Pit doesn't have a good enough air speed to avoid certain attacks. Not enough matchup experience so I think Pit's best options are his aerials. Really close to an even matchup but just not quite.

Dark Pit - nuff said
Jigglypuff - Both have multiple jumps, Jiggly has better airspeed but is lighter and both have decent kill power. It's really up to which player adapts better.
Olimar and Pikmin - Pit shouldn't approach by being above Olimar. Pit has good options for getting rid of Pikmin or not getting hit by them. I think the character that combos more in the fight wins and they both have good combos.
Meta Knight - Has some trouble killing and getting combos but is heaver while Pit has less fall speed but also has better combos but both have insane recoveries so just know how to gimp Meta Knight up B and Meta Knight know how to gimp Pit up B.
Ness - Pit can gimp him easily but Ness can yoyo gimp too forcing Pit to recover again so recover high. Pit has a lot of kill options and so does Ness.
Lucas - In the same vein as Ness but with a tether grab and a less annoying PK Fire and a more annoying PK Freeze and another spike option.
Lucina - Both have disjoints and can take advantage of each other's disadvantage state. Pit can side B for kills and Lucina can just swat away Pit for kills.
Mii Brawler - Both just destroy each other with various options. Just know Pit has better range in general but Miis can catch you off guard with a command grab.
Joker - Literally no experience but both have great recoveries and gimp tools. Both have fast options so it's kinda a tossup and you can trade well-roundedness for an option to kill whenever you want but can die maybe a bit sooner.
Falco - Pretty even. Nothing stands out too much other than Falco might hit harder and Falco can get gimped easier and doesn't really have super armor when he needs it unlike Pit. If it weren't for the lasers it might be harder for Falco.
Squirtle - Fast and hard to hit but doesn't recover too well. Pit has disjoints to try and work around that.
Pokémon Trainer - I just averaged all his options and put them in one collective spot in case you like to switch or rely on switching in certain situations.
Pikachu - ESAM lied it's not a good matchup for him, he just had inexperience. Pit has just as many ways to recover as Pikachu and both can typically recover safely. Pikachu is lighter and has more combos than Pit but Pit has more kill power and multiple jumps/super armor to weave around. It's a toss up.
Lucario - Can kill each other around the same percentages when aura is involved. Lucario as a useful projectile and recovery but both have weaknesses. Has laggy smashes but they have decent range.
Greninja - Has some situational specials and some risky options and some unreliable kills but a great recovery and a side B to mix it up. Relying on nair and dash attack combos when Pit has safer options to contest them makes it a toss up because Greninja does have kill power.
R.O.B. - Both have good recoveries and where R.O.B. can combo and zone Pit can reflect and approach easer with his fairs and nairs, tilts and jabs/side B. R.O.B. Is just stronger and heavier in general though.
Robin - Robin zones and Pit approaches. Pit needs to rely on jumps/Orbitars more but I found some trouble trying to attack Robin when he/she is in a disadvantage state. Not sure how this one plays out too much so it's even.
-1
Marth - Harder time killing.
Ganondorf - Harder time recovering/dealing with aerials and fast options.
Corrin - Not as fast as Pit and trouble recovering, can't rely on neutral B for setups.
Cloud - Trouble recovering.
Sheik - Weak in general and I didn't have trouble facing her in Smash 4 so...
Captain Falcon - Lacks the options to deal with Pit and can be gimped fairly easy.
Zero Suit Samus- Same as Sheik just with different options and not as good projectile.
Fox - Lacks reliable kills other than uair, can be grabbed and gimped easily. Speed is about the same so you need to be good in neutral to win.
Snake - His options can generally be reflected, can be gimped easily and Pit can just jump around stuff and approach when played right.
Ryu/Ken - Bad recovery and rely on close range combos. Down B is useless to all of Pit's multi-hit options.
Bayonetta - Gimped easily.
Rosalina and Luma - Pit can kill Luma for free and Rosa is not as much of a threat.
Bowser Jr. - Grabs not that good and most of his moves are punishable or can be used against him.
Mewtwo - Pit has better range on fair. imo Pit can just adapt and win and I know because I played Mewtwo in Smash4 for a bit.
Pichu - Same as Pikachu but dies earlier.
Diddy Kong - His options aren't that good against Pit and Pit can gimp him fairly easy.
Ridley - Is slow when recovering and Pit can jump over neutral B, fair when Ridley side Bs and just better options.
Game and Watch - Is light and Pit has decent kill power to win easily.
Ice Climbers - Not that good of a range and relies on Popo to take the advantage.
Mega Man - His projectiles can be reflected and his other options have limited range and he can be gimped easily.
Charizard - Good range and options but slow and lacks rock smash.
Link - Pit can jump around his projectiles and his kill options are punishable besides bomb. Recovery isn't good either.
Toon Link - About the same as Link but jumps more and attack ranges are different.
Zelda - Phantom can be reflected. Zelda has to play a closer game with Pit but Pit can do that better.
Samus/Dark Samus - Didn't know where to put her. Better at a distance but that's about it. Has trouble killing.
-2
Little Mac - Bad recovery and weak to grabs.
Ike - Predictable linear gameplay and slow.
Young Link - Trouble killing.
Mii Swordfighter - Bad range and recovery/easy to be gimped.
Duck Hunt - Not a good recovery and not as good close range.
Shulk - Slow aerials and sorta bad recovery.
Richter/Simon - Slow, hard to hit attacks with, Pit can jump around stuff, terrible recovery.
King Dedede - Slow air speed and Gordos not in his favor and that's his neutral.
Kirby - Slow air speed and easier to gimp.
King K. Rool - Easy for Pit to work around. Pit can possibly stage spike him.
Incineroar - Bad recovery and slow.
Isabelle - Close range is where she excels but Pit can work around it.
Villager - Most of his moves can be reflected and his other ones are not so good.
