What I think of:
I know that the unexpected Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam is about to be released in the US that combines the RPG style of the Mario and Luigi franchise and our Papery Plumber. The plot line is a bit weak but it's sure will be a fun game. Paper Mario is one of my favorite series of all times and my favorite of all of them is The Thousand Year Door. Also, Mario and Luigi's games are great. Combining them was Nintendo's greatest plan. Although, Paper Mario has been going off to a bit starting with Super Paper Mario. It wasn't bad at all, It had a very deep plot line, a unique way of platforming and It's quite an enjoyable. But then Sticker Star came by and it went downhill for me. I didn't like the new battle system at all, I mean, using stickers is quite a fine idea, but it strips out the RPG elements like upgrades, badges, and party members. Sticker Star did had stronger stickers you can obtain, but it makes Mario so overpowered. Even his normal jump sticker does a ton of damage.
What I'm predicting:
I'm predicting that Nintendo will revive the Paper Mario franchise and give it the love it needs. First of all, Paper Jam is one of them, and secondly, I was hoping for HD remakes of all of the Paper Mario games, like they've done for the Zelda games. Think about it, and high-definition Paper Mario game could knock people's socks off, depending on the game. I would like if they would remake the first Paper Mario game on the 3ds like they've done on Ocarina of time and Majora's mask, add new features, and maybe some redesign.
I would also go for a brand new and original Paper Mario game, maybe taking place on a new territory or visiting old ones as well. They need to bring back badges and the level up system from TTYD if they do, in other words, either one is good for me
How would you feel about a new or remastered Paper Mario Game next year?
