Do you love or hate the Nintendo 2DS? Pros and Cons?

I really like the 2ds. It has a very cool design and is different from the 3ds design. The controls on the 2ds feel comfortable just like the 3ds. But a con about the 2ds is that you can not close it like the 3ds. There is a case for the 2ds, but who wants to carry it in a case? This would be good for people who dislike the 3d effect on the 3ds.

I agree. If it wasnt for the flat, non-clamshell design, I would've bought that. Also, it has a single speaker, which is also a downside to the usual great speakers the 3DS has.

I hate it soo much. It was cheaper so I had to buy it and it is impossible to enjoy anything I do on it. It ruins everything I play with uncomfortable design. You can't fold it! You know how hellish that is. It is not portable. I have 0 streetpasses because I can't bring it anywhere. It is big and clunky. It is like the opposite of a handheld because it is not portable at all. It stays at home sitting on the table when I'm out. The only sort of nice thing is when I press the home button during a game it goes and suspends the game and goes to the menu instantly. I think the 3DS is slower at doing that.

I agree with all of your complaints except the comfort part. I happen to have big hands, so it is comfortable for me. But if you have small hands, it may not be great. I feel very bad for you :( I was actually going to buy the 2DS a month ago, because I was saving money and I really wanted something to play NSMB2. But I saw the New 3DS XL was on sale, and it was an extra 100$. So I literally just said screw it and bought that. It may have been expensive, but it was WAY worth the money. Again, I feel bad for your inconvenience :(

It's pretty good, but it isn't my preferred ds model. My favorite thing about it is that it feels comfortable to hold in my hands. I actually upgraded from a regular 3ds model to a 3ds xl because of how much better the console is for larger hands. I also like how the 2ds is cheaper. If you aren't interested in 3d or having the newest 3ds model, you can save some cash. On the downside, the system isn't pocket friendly. However, the 3ds xl isn't exactly the most pocket friendly device either. I imagine that the 2ds is more prone to screen scratches, as the screen is more exposed to the elements. I cannot confirm that, but I highly suspect it. Overall, it isn't my cup of tea. I prefer the XL models, but I can understand the market that is interested in the 2ds.

I have held a 2DS before, mainly because I was choosing myself a console that could play 3DS games. It is very comfortable, but yhing is, I cant fold it. I cant transport it well, and the screen size is the same as the 3DS, but you cant fold it at the angle you want. If you want something that saved you $50-$70, go for it, but I mainly didnt choose it because of transport reasons, and screen size.

Nor do I like the nintendo 2ds and nor I love it. mainly I am saying this because I don't have 2ds and don't know what are problem u face with it. But I heard many people saying it is cheaper than 3ds but it is pretty uncomfortable while games and also don't have many features

Most of my opinions on the 2DS is pretty much meh. While it is a good console with a rather cheap price and most of the 3DS' capabilities, it still is kinda weird in the DS Family, but intended for kids (because of the 3d effect which can harm the eyes of those younger) it is understandable. I once held one before and it was ok but then there's the portability problem :p

I think that the Nintendo 2DS is an ok system. I like the idea of no hinges and it being flat, but there's NO 3D! I guess that's why it's called a 2DS but still. It's basically a DS for 3DS games. I mean it would be good for my kid brother who's too small for 3D images and he already broke his DS lite in half so it being hinge-less is good. For me, though? Eh, I want a new 3DS XL. I need to save some money to get one. I'm considering saving for a 2DS for my brother but i don't know yet. Maybe he will get one for Christmas or his birthday or something. But anyway, the 2DS is alright.

I would save for the new 3ds or new 3ds xl. But yeah, if your brother is not very good with hinges, the 2ds was made for him!

I myself wasn't good with hinges with my ds lite. I'm better at it now

I think the main problem is it's design. It's like a brick and would no way fit in a pocket (all past and present Nintendo handhelds are small enough to actually play on the go, whilst keeping them safe when not in use). I like the fact that it's aimed at the younger audience because kids' eyes can be exposed and damaged by 3D effects if the 2DS didn't exist (and if they played a 3DS/3DS XL console).
