I like this cause now if a friend asks me where to get one cheap I can say to get this some of my friends and my family can't see the 3D without it hurting there eyes so this is awesome!!

This sounds great for the general public now that there's more competition with the 3DS/3DS XL/New 3DS versions but this is probably going to go even lower when Black Friday and Cyber Monday comes around for people in the US (and maybe other places *shrugs*) and it's a good business decision because it'll get more kids into the Nintendo system (which isn't a bad thing at all imo). And for anyone else too because no one really liked the 3D on the systems anyway unless you're weird.

Wow I was also in the market for getting my brother a 3DS/2DS system as well, this is a pretty nice deal. And it comes with MK7 :0. It's a great system for him. He's a giant fan of Mario Kart so this would be a nice thing to give him

Perhaps the price will drop down even further when Black Friday hits? I remember getting my Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon 3DS for $150 on Black Friday which was a pretty good deal at the time. I'll consider buying it once Black Friday comes about

That's a GREAT deal! Just make sure to play with some earphones since the sound is terrible on 2DS, otherwise it's a great value. MK7 alone is like $40 still here, so it's $60 for a console that can play 3DS games, it's neat!

I really don't see the point of having a 2DS (my personal opinion). I hear most people find the design to be comfortable. I tried it when me and some people where playing Smash and a 2DS player passed the system to me but I don't find it interesting. As for the no-3D thing, that can be restricted with the Parental Controls. But I guess the good thing about it is the low price and the digital Mario Kart 7 it comes with.

This is amazing that there is a price drop in the 2DS and I plan to buy it if my 3DS breaks or something else or I just need a new one or something xD. This is very good for people who don't have a 3DS or a 2DS and plan on buying one. So I love this in fact and it was unexpected from nintendo so quick.

The 2DS was meant for children since it was a more safer consoles without the hinges and being more compact. It's also more cheaper than the regular 3ds which makes it a still good console for certain budgets and still having the 3ds' gameplay functionalities.

That's actually a pretty nice bundle. I like the blue color in the picture much more than my red one lol. It also comes with Mario Kart 7 which is a bonus. Is this sale still around? Because my friend was thinking about getting a 2DS, and I might have to refer him to this page...

Yeah, I never use the 3d. THe 2ds would have been a nice option though the 3ds xl has the large screen. 100 dollars is nice and all but the 2ds was 100 dollars before hand, many times. But I am glad its kinda official now. I think that the other systems should get a price cut too, the 3ds xl being at 150 dollars. That would be fair.

Agreed, the sound is terrible.
Since the system was made for a younger audience which most likely won't care about the sound quality, Nintendo decided to remove a speaker, making the system audio Mono, possibly to cut down on production costs.

If only this had happened a few months ago; I just bought my brother a 2ds!! That's $30 I could've spent on myself, considering that was reward money from a competition!! Ahh, at least this year I can spend my reward money on myself; he has a job now so he better not ask for anything once it comes in. But, this is a pretty good deal for other people. I know a friend who I'm going to lighty point this out to. Not at all forceful. Nope.

I think the price drop of the 2DS is pretty cool and I think it's supposed to be like that because the device lacks 3D.

The 2DS here is practically half price compared to the regular 3DS! Just not having the 3DS or stereo sound, you save ~80€, which is not bad at all! Also, add to that the possibility of it going on sale during holiday season and you have one of the best choices for a gaming system there is! I got mine with two other games as a bundle, for just 100€, which is a great price, while the 3DS without any games costs around 180€ here!
