I want your opinion: is it wrong to use exploits like the 3DS Region Three (a program that unlocks the 3DS region lock)?
Since we use ORIGINAL GAMES, we would support Nintendo anyway.
I just NEED to play Inazuma Eleven Go on my american 3DS, but Level-5 and Nintendo only released the first of six main games (twelve if you consider all the Pokémon-like versions) in America, and they're not giving me any hope for release of the sequels!
What do you think? It is a crime? It is wrong?
Man, the Game is already in ENGLISH! They just need to convert (or whatever they do) the european version and release in America! ¬¬
I just want to shout "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY" because I love Level-5 games and I love Inazuma Eleven!

Region-locking is ridiculous.

Nintendo would consider it illegal, everyone else would consider it justifiable.

Does anyone know if this still works, or did Nintendo fix it along with the GBC web exploit?

The main reason I'd advise not using it is because Nintendo are banning people who use unauthorized software from playing online multiplayer (it gives them an error message every time, but it's a ban). It mainly includes flashcarts, but more than likely this too.

Fixed in 9.5.0-23.
Indeed, the latest update does nothing except update the "Internet Browser" applet to block all of the exploits using it (and sadly, including RegionThree).

Hence why I haven't update my 3DS. I prefer freedom over wannabe stability. If smealum (the guy who made the regionthree exploit) makes the exploit available for newer firmwares, I'll update. But for now, I'm keeping my freedom, and it's not Nintendo that will stop me from going region-free. Plus, the update is only required for the eShop, so, I can still play online any game that doesn't require an update.

The main reason I'd advise not using it is because Nintendo are banning people who use unauthorized software from playing online multiplayer (it gives them an error message every time, but it's a ban). It mainly includes flashcarts, but more than likely this too.

Actually, this has been proved wrong. I've read that it was because of some ISPs messing up or something like that, but those people weren't banned.

PS: I'm not for piracy or for homebrew, but I'm against Nintendo's visions of seeing stupidity everywhere and their terrible region-controlling policies.

Yeah, I despise piracy too, but is it wrong to want to give my money to Nintendo? .-.

No, it's not wrong. But as I said, when it comes to Region-lock and some countries (South America, PAL region and where @Spinnerweb lives as well), Nintendo wants to see stupid, and every time they fail to put that second foot into the grave, they re-start thinking stupid and think they can do even better.

So, I understand you want to throw your money at Nintendo, and if that's the case, don't update your console when there's a region3-like exploit. This way, you can throw more money at them without going for piracy.

I don't live in South America :panda:

I meant where you live. Not South America, I just added it because I've heard that Nintendo also screws people living there.

Corrected my post. I swapped the "where you live" and the "PAL region" 's positions so people won't confuse it.

I don't really like the idea of 3ds having region lock because many people want to play some games that are not available to certain users so I don't really know why they don't give the game to all users but I don't use 3ds flashcards so I guess some people get banned . I usually update my 3ds because I want the new things that are coming to it and I feel bad that many of the EU people don't get the same of value in stuff like the other countries :(

I hate region lock. I bought my 3ds from the US and I always have to wait for months to get a new game...

Nintendo introduces region lock, thinking- people will buy both NA and EU region if we do a region lock
What happens- many people end up not buying a 3ds

Result- Sale of nintendo decreased and people started disliking nintendo a bit for region lock

I don't really care about the regionlock because most games I want are EU anyway but it's annoying to see all those gamecodes give-aways pass me by because Nintendo doesn't like the fact that the world is whole instead of some regions.

While i agree that the 3DS Region Lock is ridiculous, I think we should demand these games to come to the US

starting with demanding Arc System Works USA to bring all their 3DS Kunio-kun games to the US, I'm starting to get sick of them re-releasing Renegade, River City Ransom and Crash 'n The Boys: Street Challenge on VC (they did it 3 times: on Wii, on 3DS and on Wii U)

Don't get me wrong, I too wish the 3DS was region free but until that becomes a reality we shouldn't sit our bahookies and do nothing about it until the next magic bullet-like exploit to happen
We must demand these games to come here
If Op Rainfall can bring 3 games to the US (Pandora's Tower, The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles) via e-mails, phone calls and what not demanding them, so can we
