So, I visited the local GAME shop (in England) to check for deals for the N3DS, but something catched my eye. I saw a notice, that if you trade in your regular 3DS (with a 3DS game), you can get the normal sized N3DS for £94.99! I asked about it, and they said it depends on the condition of my 3DS (it's in very good condition, except for one little mark due to the metal case). If I were to trade it in, I won't be able to transfer my data and games from my 3DS to the N3DS, which is a let-down. I said I don't have the box but they didn't care! I lost the stylus though, so that could present a problem. >.<

They also had an another deal - if you trade in your 3DS XL, you are able to get the N3DS XL for £114,99. (if any of you are interested). Not sure if it needs a 3DS game with it or not.

I was planning to get the N3DS anyways, but only when it gets an exclusive Pokemon or Zelda game. I'm waiting for more colors as well, perhaps? xD

Thoughts?

But you really want to transfer your data, right? If that's the case, you'll have to get the N3DS full price. And in my shoes, I would get the regular-sized N3DS. I just prefer it plus it's more cheeper. And I do want to get rid of Dead Or Alive: Dimensions (haven't touched it in months). And which 3DS do you own?

If it means saving money, then I can do without the transfer. I'll just start afresh with the N3DS. :p

I was planning on getting the regular N3DS anyways, Compact is better. The N3DS XL is pretty expensive and a bit too large for my taste. xD

I own the regular metallic red 3DS. :D

It is up to you but I would contact nintendo to see if they could somehow transfer your data and NNID if you backed it up on a computer. If you are going for a New3ds not XL then it sounds like a pretty good deal!

In Canada, it was really different (we had the same promotion). We had to buy the N3DS full price, then we bring it home, do our transfer, then come back with the old 3DS and the receipt and THEN they would refund us the difference. It's not like that for you?

That's an even better deal, I guess we're not that lucky, in that case. I'd take up that offer with no hesitation. Maybe it could be considered where I live, someday? :p

Oh no, they wouldn't let you purchase the new system, do the transfer while in the store, & then trade in your old system? I've heard that's common courtesy in game stores where I am. That's kind of disappointing >:

--but y you could call up Nintendo support & ask to have your NNID transferred (& just copy the data from your SDHC card onto your desktop to put onto the new system), too; they'll just ask a couple questions like 'what was your last eShop purchase, what was the last 4 digits of the card your purchased via, when was the last time your old system was used', and what the ID under the bar code on your new system is. You'd need to note that you don't have the old system of course since normally you can do it manually; the transfer normally takes three or four days to queue if you do that.

'nway but even if you do go with a clean slate, hope it works well for you! New colours are awesome, too.

they have a new 3ds xl here in NA that is white! it is in the animal crossing home house designer bundle. i dont like animal house tho, so that sucks. i wish they would sell it seperate. that would be cool. they also had a deal here at gamestop that you could trade in your old 3ds xl for $100 towards the purchase of a new 3ds xl
