A Link Between Worlds is the best handheld Zelda game ever.

There are many things it does right and many things it does wrong:

Pros:

- A top-down perspective done right.
- There isn't much story which makes the focus on the gameplay.
- Probably the best Streetpass functionality in a 3DS game that I own
- You can pick it up and play it. If you know what you're doing you can finish a dungeon in an hour to 30 minutes.
-OH MY GOD THE PAINTING MECHANIC
-The ability to early on in the game get every item, by renting it (later buying it)
-Majora Cameo!
- A revival of the world of: A Link To The Past
- You'll be stuck in the game for hours (That's also a con)

Cons:

-Because of the lack of story, you don't feel attached to any of the characters, (It's good too otherwise it would be called Skyward Sword 2)
- THE WAY YOU SAVE THE GAME! You save at a bird altar thing, They are never inside a dungeon! So you have to keep it in sleep mode if you want to keep your progress.
- 3D is used terribly.
- It's sorta too easy.

The Pros outweigh the Cons, if you don't have the game read this list over again. Then buy it because the game is good.

I'd like to point out the cons aren't necessarily too bad, and here's the reasoning for each of them.

Link Between Worlds was probably meant to be like its predecessor, Link to the Past, which probably isn't that well known for attachment to the characters. It'd be the dungeon exploration that's more of a focus.

For saving the game via the bird altar thing and not being able to save inside a dungeon, most Zelda games don't let you save inside a dungeon anyway (Skyward Sword is a huge outlier).

3D is a bit of a gimmick, let's be honest. Some great games like Pokemon don't even use it most of the time.

Easiness may not necessarily be the worst thing, but that's all a matter of opinion I suppose

It reminds me of the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword when you say you have to save the game in a bird-like-thing and that those things are outside the dungeons. I got really used to do it in the game I just quoted so that wouldn't be a problem. On the other side there is something that is not quite clear and it is about the story, you say it is kind of short or what? (I don't wanna sound rude, please no offense on this, I am just asking).
Anyway I am planning on buying this game sooner or later and thanks to what you posted, I know for sure it is a must have.

Let's put it this way, the story isn't going to be as deep as Skyward Sword
which has the initial "Find Zelda who's travelling to the Springs" quests, then the "Temper your Sword to make it the Master Sword" quests, and "Locate the 3 dragons so you can get the Triforce" quests, and finally the "get the Triforce and defeat Demise" quest
It's going to be more focused on dungeon exploration and in terms of playtime I doubt it'll be as long as Skyward Sword. That's not to say it's a bad game though, there's also plenty of minigames and such within Link Between Worlds to keep you occupied. I don't actually own the game, but that much I've gathered. I'd suggest looking up a Link to the Past and seeing how that's like. You'll notice a very similar playstyle between those two games.

I'd really agree in this kind of thing of pros and cons :p except that the 3d wasn't really used terribly at all . It might have not been too much in depth but they way it synced with the graphics made the 3d effect really beautiful , asides from that , however , everything else was kinda true :p
