I'm going to start this off by saying that Zelda is one of my favorite game series of all time, Every Zelda game I have played I have enjoyed, specifically the 3d console releases... All except for one. I might get some hate for this, but I'm not a big fan of Skyward sword, mostly because the slightly imprecise controls throw off the whole experience. I've heard from many people who love Skyward Sword, I'm just curious what other people think.

I heard that most people have mixed feelings on it because of the controls too. I played it and I feel neutral about it the controls are a pain but I think I'm okay with it because I love the look of the game.

The controls didn't really bother me all that much, you get used to it after a while. The game itself is pretty engaging, and keeps you coming back for more, not the mention the amazing and rich graphics. You should give it a chance! you may enjoy it more than you think! ^.^

I think the motion Controls was a New, cool way to experience combat in the Zelda series. I can see why some People had problems With them, but for me, I liked them. It made the combat system more realistic in my opinion. Skyward sword is not my favorite Zelda game, but it is one that I enjoyed. And Ghirahim was one of the main reasons for my love for the game :)

I have also been a little skeptical to say that Skyward Sword is a Zelda game I like. I mean, I like the cel shaded graphics, the controls were new and fresh, and Ghirahim's twisted personality was surprising and dark, but the story wasn't all that great to me. I tried to like it as a whole but I couldn't. It seemed that things didn't run smoothly and some parts of it seemed tacked on or too cheesy. I like a good story in my videogames so this was a major let down for me, especially since Zelda games depend heavily on stories most of the time.

I personally love Skyward Sword myself. The main motivation for me to buy a Wii was Skyward Sword, and I have to say, the game is definitely worth it IMO. The controls add a really nifty minigame-ish feature that depend on you being precise and knowing how to strike your enemy. The game also has a great world, and the soryline is pretty deep. The characters are memorable, and the soundtrack beautiful. I find it to be a really great game.

I would agree that The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword is something that Nintendo put that is quite new and of course it may take time to get used to due to it being different from most Zelda series controls . But after awhile it shoud be more comfortable and you need to really enjoy it to actually get used to the controls . So it takes time but just play normally and things should get better of you :)

The controls aren't really a problem if you're used to them. Actually the controls make you actually feel like Link, slashing through all those enemies, I thought it was a great way to control his sword using the motion controls. In the past and even now, Zelda games have been awesome with everything, SS makes the controls less...buttony. Instead of hours of pressing B on your controller, you get to move your arms.

I have heard many things from my friends. I personally haven't had that much trouble. Some parts are kinda frustrating when you just can't hit it right, but most of them are pretty forgiving. I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think that it is too bad.

Yeah, I agree, the graphics made it feel weird and the storyline was a bit different but I still love it because it is a Zelda game! :D I liked the controls on the Wii and it felt better playing it than normal DS style. The bosses aren't the best but they were OK and I could live with 'em :)

I like Skyward Sword and thought the controls were a bit wacky and though it was a fun experience, it could get annoying at times. Particularly the last boss battle. It was a fun game and the controls gave a new experience in dungeons. The only part of the game I didn't like, was the Silent Realms- those things were creepy.

Skyward Sword was okay, I really wish they would have done some things differently. The controls were quirky sometimes but I I really was not a fan of the non open yet open world, I want there to be no clouds separating you between the land and the sky, I realize there would be some problems but I guess I just miss the feel of a big open field with enemies and such. :p

I actually quite like the skyward swords controls, seeing that you have to swing the wii remote in a swinging sword motion and actually hit an enemy. I didn't like the twilight princess controls, tho it was a great game, seeing you hat to use combitnations of buttons. The classic is using button combos, and not swinging the remote. I thought that the skyward sword controls were pretty good! Tho the controls sometimes didn't go in the direction I wanted it to go in...

The controls for me were not imprecise at all. I felt immersed in the combat and gamplay and I loved it. That paired with a great story and dungeons makes it one of my all-time favourite games. But thats just my opinion.
