So, I'm just going to list all of the items in DLC Pack 1 for Mario Kart 8 and my opinions on them all.
TRACKS
Excitebike Arena: I love this track's concept of changing everytime you race on it except for Time Trials. Nintendo should definitely do this more in the future.
Dragon Driftway: It looks like a ton of fun to race on.
Mute City: My mind is blown with the strips from the original F-Zero giving you coins now. Amazing, it looks like a verb fast paced track as well. First track in Mario Kart to be entirely anti-gravity/mobius strip.
Hyrule Circuit: Let me put this in words for everyone to understand. OH MY GOD!! THIS IS SO AMAZING. THIS TAKES CROSSOVERS TO THE NEXT LEVEL (no pun intended)! It contains a lot of enemies from the Zelda series and it even contains a secret Master Sword shortcut! Instead of coins, YOU COLLECT RUPEES. *mindblown*
Ice Ice Outpost: We haven't heard anything about this track so I don't really know what to expect. Something good, I hope, but I hate terrain change courses.
Wii Wario's Gold Mine: Wow, I was expecting this track to come back in the first place. Anti-gravity/mobius strip just works here. I love how they changed the minecarts from hazards into spin-boosters.
GCN Yoshi Circuit: Wait, didn't this come back in the DS? I mean, you're not really breaking your rules because it's DLC, but c'mon.
SNES Rainbow Road: This just came back a game ago! *cough, cough* Mario Kart 7 *cough, cough" Don't get me wrong however, I'm hyped for this track's FOURTH VERSION! (SNES, GBA, 3DS, Wii U)
KART PARTS
Hylian Kite: I love this glider's design!
Triforce Tires: I want to use these with the Blue Falcon, Mario, and the Peach Parasol. It'll just be crossoverception.
Master Cycle: This bike better be faster than the Sport Bike, it'll be my main if so.
Blue Falcon: I wouldn't even call this a kart, but it was in Mario Kart Wii for whatever reason. I look forward to it returning again.
Tanooki Jeep Buggy Thing (I don't know the name, if it wasn't already obvious.): This better not be a reskin of one of the other ATVs, so help me.
B Dasher: This was in Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart 7, and Mario Kart Wii. (Mario Kart Wii's Sprinter was a remake of the B Dasher.) They mind as well just make it the Standard kart in future Mario Karts. It's been in the past three games. I also look forward to this kart's return.
CHARACTERS
Link: Amazing animation and voice. I love his tricks where he can pull out the Master Sword, the Triforce, or just do an average trick.
RESKINS (I'm almost sure you know why this is a section. -.-)
Tanooki Mario: Reskin. The only thing I like about this character (Should I even classify it as that?) is his trick where he turns into Stone Tanooki Mario. Nice touch.
Cat Peach: Reskin. New tricks, but I'm going to avoid this character as much as possible. It's just a skin, people.
So, yeah, those are my thoughts. I'll definitely be purchasing this DLC pack even if there are two, "characters," that aren't worth the money. Reply with your opinions on this pack. I'll try to read everyone's response.
