What do you think about the 3DS family amiibo adapters? I think they'll cause lag on SSB 3DS because they both connect by local infrared connections. Also they have to be placed at the right angle, distance and time to connect properly to a console!
 
They won't cause lag since they are only used once when you load or once when you save, but they are not used when you're playing. And placing them right just once every half an hour shouldn't be that annoying either.

hmm... my friend was wrong then.
 
Although there are many factors that cause lag in a game in Smash , I really personally think that Amiibos don't affect the connection in Smash :p and of course that they have to be placed properly for it to connect to the 3ds , so generally my opinion is that Amiibos aren't so bad or disruptive in connections .
 
It really isn't too hard to use game adapters for the 3ds. It just has to be somewhere facing the sensor on the 3ds to be used, and you probably only have to hold it for about 5 seconds (speaking from experience).
